This house is clean and modern with old style character. The house
is located in the lovely historic neighborhood of LaFayette Square
which is 5-10 minutes from shopping and numerous restaurants on
Larchmont (Hancock Park), 10 minutes from downtown, 20 minutes from
the beach, 15 minutes to West Hollywood or Beverly
Hills with their many shops and restaurants, and 20 minutes from
LAX. Our neighborhood is gated on the two major surrounding
boulevards providing streets with virtually no traffic where
children play, and all the homes have large front and rear yards.

This beautiful 1930s Spanish Style home includes a gourmet modern
kitchen (21x26) with a 9 foot island, two sinks, a Subzero
refrigerator and Wolf range. Both the living room and den have
beamed ceilings. The living room is appointed with B&B Italia L-
shaped sofa for as many as 10 people, a sheepskin rug, and a
Bachelder (old tile) fireplace. The den has a modern sofa for tv
watching and a stereo and DVD player. The master bedroom has a King
sized Haasten's bed (a handmade $10,000 mattress), has its own deck
overlooking the backyard with two upholstered lounge chairs, a
master bath made of large marble slabs, two sinks built into a
mahogany vanity, a six foot tub, and a shower with a bench and two
showerheads. There is also a guestroom with a Queen sized bed, and
a child's room with 2 twin beds. There is room on the floor of the
guest room and the childrens' room to sleep additional people (and
we have an air mattress). The backyard includes a hammock, a dining
table for 6, a large childrens' play structure with swings, monkey
bars, a slide and a little house and a small grass area for
play.

5 minutes to Koreatown (Korean restaurants and baths and spas)
5-10 minutes to Hancock Park, a lovely street with coffee houses and
restaurants with sidewalk seating and a lovely Sunday farmers market.
10 minutes to downtown with its museums and restaurants
10 minutes to Culver City with its many new restaurants and art
galleries and large cineplex.
20 minutes to Santa Monica and Venice beach.
15 minutes to Hollywood - Manns' Chinese Theatre, The ArcLight
Cinema, Sunday farmers market.
15 minutes to Beverly Hills with its high end shopping or West
Hollywood with its designer chic finds.
