The Reames House in Jacksonville

Unwind and revive in a 19th Century landmark located in one of only three U.S. towns listed on the
National Historic Registry. Originally owned by a wealthy politician, the palatial Reames House
features four beautiful guests rooms, including two suites and two standard rooms that put visitors
at ease – and near the center of historic Jacksonville, Oregon.

Reminiscent of the Queen Anne era, the Reames House offers a royal touch, though the residence
turned bed and breakfast reveals the character of original owner Thomas Reames. Once a Jackson County
Sheriff, Reames became a wealthy banker who poured much of his earnings into the palatial California
Street mansion with a separate carriage house. Today, the integrity of the home remains intact,
though the bed-and-breakfast inn features upgraded furnishings in the spacious common area and four
guest rooms (the carriage house is available as a separate rental). Beautiful original art,luxurious
sofas, well-preserved antiques and quality appointments are all part of the Reames experience.
Visitors can unwind and revive in comfortable surroundings, with feather duvets and a secluded patio
that offer glimpses of deer descending from the hills. Like the entire town of Jacksonville, Oregon,
the Reames House is on the National Historic Registry. The Reames House offers a spacious full
kitchen, common sitting area and large patio for all guests. Housekeeping is included
with your stay. We have cable television and wireless internet.

Jacksonville offers many attractions. There are museums, spas, live music, shopping, horseback
riding, historical tours, woodland trails, mountain biking. Extensive wine tasting and tours are
available.  We also are
walking distance from the Britt Festival which runs June-September with headlining musical acts from
around the world.

The Reames House rents for $600.00 per night plus tax with a two night minimum. If you rent for seven nights, the seventh night is free.
