apartment is now available for a 3-night minimum stay or by the Week.

w/bar, large tiled bathroom, and a stone patio -- overlooking a lush "private park" of tropical palms and  
greenery. 
 
The half-acre gardens were recently featured in Save Our Heritage Organization's Annual Tour of Historic San  
Diego Homes and provide an Oasis of tranquility just minutes from Hillcrest village, Downtown, scenic Coronado  
Island, and San Diego's International Airport.

Activities and Attractions

Located a few blocks from San Diego's popular Hillcrest district -- and recently voted One of America's Ten Best  
Neighorhoods (in company with San Francisco's North Beach)  Hillcrest provides organic groceries, bakeries,  
coffee houses, numerous Asian, Italian, and Middle Eastern restaurants, cool boutiques, and wine bars. 
 
Within walking distance is magnificent Balboa Park -- home to several Fine Art, Photography, & Natural History  
Museums, the Planetarium, the Victorian style Botanical Arboretum, Three renowned theatres, including the  
award winning Old Globe, and the World Famous San Diego Zoo.  Great walking and biking trails fan out from  
the elegant Spanish Arcades & from the heart of the Park -- El Prado.  There is much to see and explore here --  
and by foot or bicycle is best. 
 
Morley Field -- just a half block away is the other half of Balboa Park -- this section is dedicated to athletics --  
scores of tennis courts, a Velodrome, Large Municipal Golf Course, Frisbee course, baseball diamonds, and  
swimming pool.  Great place to jog and exercise. 
 
Downtown San Diego is only five minutes away -- and it is a Booming Urban Mecca these days -- from hundreds  
of fine dining restaurants -- many with outdoor patio seating, to scores of jazz and blues clubs, theatres, shops,  
World class hotels and exclusive clubs. Downtown also hosts a new showplace -- Petco Park, home to the San  
Diego Padres.  San Diego Bay Cruises and Whale Watching Charters can be taken from the nearby  
Embarcadero and charming LIttle Italy is definitely worth a visit.  
 
By Car -- and just one Exit south off I-5  -- is enchanting Coronado Island.  The average home here starts at a  
cool Million-- and the slower pace, beautifully groomed public parks, and proximity to the Ocean are only  
a few of its charms.  Head onto Orange Avenue then Left toward the Del Coronado Hotel.  Drive past it a bit and  
park along the street.  A long ocean front boardwalk leads you along the rear of the Hotel -- and this is a walk  
you won't soon forget.  The roaring surf, sugar soft sand, enormous beachfront, and Victorian splendor of this  
landmark Hotel will be a highlight of your visit to San Diego.  Whether ordering a beer on the deck overlooking  
the Beach or dining at one of its elegant restaurants -- this is a World Class Resort and a nostalgic visit to a  
Civilized Era. 
 
With Deserts to the East, Torrey Pines Park and La Jolla to the north, Nude sunbathing at Black's, Mission Bay
