Activities and Attractions

     Nestled in the gorgeous Rocky Mountains, Glenwood Springs,
Colorado is a great destination for relaxation and fun.  Only a 3 hour
drive from Denver, Glenwood provides excitement and leisure that is
suitable for a family trip, or a romantic get away.  Glenwood offers a
wide range of activities for its visitors. In the summer, Glenwood
boasts beautiful trails for hiking and biking as well as adventure on
the famous Colorado River for white water rafting or kayaking.  In the
winter one can enjoy snowmobiling, sledding, cross country skiing, and
world class downhill skiing at one of Colorado's famous ski resorts in
Vail and Aspen, located only one hour from each city distance from the
town.  One can stroll down Glenwood's quaint main street to shop, or
travel only a short distance for high class shopping in Vail or Aspen.
     Glenwood is also home to the famous Glenwood Hot Springs Pool;
the largest outdoor natural hot springs pool in the world. Open year
round, the pool provides an entertaining spot for kids and adults
alike to sit back and relax.  The Glenwood Hot Springs Pool Athletic
Club provides an alternative to outdoor activities and features a full

the Glenwood Caverns Fairy Caves, which now includes the Glenwood
Adventure Park.  Take the tram ride up Iron Mountain and enjoy the
1,400 foot Sky Swing and the roller coaster.  There is local winter
