Vacation Rental Description

"The Hiding Place" is truly a peaceful retreat.  This adorable 6 yr. 
old cabin is located on a wooded acre.  Sitting on the front deck 
makes you feel like you're in the treetops.  At dusk the family of 
grey fox may stroll through on a "food search".  You may have 
breakfast with the deer as they stroll their "path" which is next to 
the side deck. Just bring your toothbrush, food and personal items. 
The cabin is decorated with many one-of-a-kind hand-painted items 
and furniture, all depicting wildlife (Mainly black bears!).  Bring 
along your favorite movies for the dvd-vcr player (there is also 
satellite tv), work one of the jigsaw puzzles, gamaes or play cards 
(which are in the coffee table.  You may decide to walk the roads or 
paths near the cabin or nearby hiking trails.

Vacation Rental Amenities

The cabin is located in a little village named Cherrylog, 6 miles 
south of Blue Ridge.  In Blue Ridge you can walk and shop in the 
quaint village.  The people are very friendly.  You may choose to 
eat at the Victorian where you can dress casually, yet have the 
elegance of linen tablecloths (and of course wonderful food!).  Or 
you may decide to just stroll the streets and snack on a piece of 
homemade fudge.  The nearby orchards in either Blue Ridge or Ellijay 
(annual apple festival) offer many choices of fresh fruits, 
depending on the season.  Ellijay is 20 minutes south of the cabin 
(also the nearest Wal-mart).  Also, you are only a short drive to 
Tennessee or North Carolina for further exploration.

Activities and Attractions

You may go horse-back riding, tubing down a river, kyaking, hiking 
trails, bicycling, swimming at Lake Blue Ridge, stroll through 
antique shops and of course there are many handmade souvenirs to 
purchase.  There is a train that will take you from Blue Ridge to 
McCayesville, Tenn and give you time to have lunch and window-shop 
before returning to Blue Ridge.  There is an electric cart rental 
shop in Blue Ridge for those who cannot walk as easily as we used 
to.   

Vacation Rental Rates

$100 per night with a 2 night minimum
$125 per night with a 3 night minimum Holiday weekends or in October
$10 per night per person over 4 people
$35 non-refundable pet deposit (with previous approval of pet)
$65 cleaning fee
$150 refundable deposit after housekeeping company's approval
11% sales tax on all rentals
