vacation rental description

This new (completed November 2006) 3 bedroom 2.5 bath plus sleeping
loft end townhouse unit has it all; stone (gas burning) fireplace,
cathedral ceilings, modern fully equipped kitchen w/granite
counter tops, ceiling fans, beautifully furnished plus a large deck.
You can see the ski slopes from the deck, upstairs bedroom and the
living room.
The townhouse has views of Big Boulder's ski slopes (from the deck,
family room, and one of the
bedrooms).
The townhouse is appproximately one mile to the base of Big Boulder.
As a reminder you can ski at
Jack Frost
and Big Boulder with 1 lift ticket.
Sleeps up to 10 people.
Bedroom 1: Floor 1, (Master) Queen Bed (Sleeps 2)
Bedroom 2: Floor 2, Queen Bed (Sleeps 2)
Bedroom 3: Floor 2, Bunk Bed?Full Bed on the bottom, single on top

Kitchen amenities include microwave and stove, dishwasher, blender,
coffee pot, and toaster. Gas grill is located on the deck.
Living Room has a gas burning fireplace, 37 inch LCD TV with DVD
Player.
Bedrooms all have TV's with cable and ceiling fans. Master bedroom
also has a DVD player. The master bathroom has an enclosed glass
shower and a large soaking tub for 2.
Basement (unfinished) includes a 7 foot pool table, a card table, Sega Genesis and Super Nintendo.

Great Ski Weekend in Even Greater Location!

Before finding this little piece of heaven, my friends and I were looking for a much bigger place to stay for the weekend of March 4th-March 6th. We had four couples and wanted plenty of space. When I saw this place, I couldn't beat the deal so I called the owners and within minutes I had made contact and had reserved the house for the weekend. The owners are extremely nice and very helpful. Detailed instructions are given to you before you arrive and again before you leave. The owners send you detailed directions which was very helpful as well. The house was very clean and well maintained. The kitchen had plenty of pots/pans and other accessories to cook large meals for our group.
When it comes to location, it just doesn't get any better. There are amazing views of the trails at Big Boulder from the living room window, deck, and upstairs back bedroom; which are even better at night! The drive to the mountain is literally about a 60 second drive from the house. This was an AWESOME feature since we were there to ski, not to drive!
One night we did venture out to eat at Shenanigans Restaurant, (about five minutes from the house), which is what we thought was going to be similar to an Applebees or a TGI Fridays.....but we were wrong! The food was so much better than we had anticipated!
The only negative thing that happened to us was that although we had three vehicles, we had NO parking in front of the house even for the one vehicle that was allotted for the rental. The neighbors had three vehicles that never moved so we had to park in the lot which is about 100 ft from the house, not a big deal though.
I highly recommend this rental for large groups or small, especially if you're there to ski. We are already planning our trip for next year!

Recommended for: adventure seekers, age 55+, families with young children, families with teenagers, girls getaway, romantic getaway

A Great Time

This was our first time vacationing in the Poconos, we definately enjoyed our stay. The townhouse was more than adequate, plenty of room for our family of four. The townhouse was beautifully decorated,clean and we had everything that we needed. Located within minutes away from Lake Harmony and Split Rock Resort. Recommend visiting Jim Thorpe and Bushkill Falls. I would recommend anyone visiting the Poconos to consider staying at this townhouse,
