"The Little Red House" A Delightful Pet Friendly Beach Home in Gulf Shores

The Little Red House sits on the beautiful Little Lagoon which is perfect for whatever water sports or activities you have in mind. You can do everything from laying around on a raft and soaking up the sun, to kayaking, sailing, all types of motor boat activities, wave runners, etc. The fishing and crabbing is great right off the end of the new 180ft pier that can accommodate up to a 24 ft boat and four wave runners. The Lagoon has a nice sandy bottom that is easy on the feet and is very family friendly. The Little Red House has a large screened in area under the house. This area can be used to entertain, barbecue, play games, listen to music and to lay around and do absolutely nothing. Upstairs there is a large sun deck that has sun all day, great for laying out. There is a viewing deck that is surrounded and shaded by beautiful Water Oaks.

The Best Thing about staying at The Little Red House, you don't have to go anywhere to thoroughly enjoy yourself! But if you feel the urge to get out, here are some of the most popular things to do.
For the kids, young an old, there is Waterville USA with water rides, slides and roller coasters. There are a number of amusement parks with everything from putt-putt to bungee jumping. The Historical Fort Morgan and Museum is about 20 minutes away and houses a lot of Civil War history and relics. While at Fort Morgan you can catch the ferry (for cars and people, no RVs) over to Dauphin Island and see the Dauphin Island Sea Lab and Fort Gaines. One of the biggest attractions in southern Alabama is The Battleship U.S.S.Alabama and Museum. It's about an hour away and it's spectacular!
The Wharf at Orange Beach is about 15 minutes from the house. The Wharf has several nice shops and eateries. It also has The Amphitheater that draws a lot of super stars. Just in 2008 we've had Alan Jackson, Kid Rock, ZZ Top, Taylor Swift, Crosby Stills & Nash and Heart just to name a few! Checkout the Wharf for 2009!
The fishing in the Little Lagoon and surrounding area is as good as it gets. From fishing off the pier at the house, to surf fishing, to fishing from the new Gulf State Pier, to public and private charters, it's absolutely the best! You can go after Speckled Trout, Red Fish, Flounder, Spanish Mackerel and Mullet in the Lagoon. Or go after the big name big game in the Gulf of Mexico!
