vacation rental description

This 6 bedroom, 3 bath Mountain home, sits on a beautiful meadow surrounded by pine trees. The back door exists out to the hiking trails that could start a great day of exploring. Just 2 miles from the Lake, 4 miles to Northstar, and within 20 minutes to Alpine Meadows, and Squaw Valley. Golf? yes. 2 miles to the Brockway Golf Course, and minutes to 5 other courses. If skiing is a pastime, shops, restaurants, snow mobiling, kayak and bike rentals, and nightlife at the casinos are by the Lake and within 3 miles to the house. The casinos on the North Shore are known for their music venues and spa services.

This house has the space for a large family gathering, or group of friends. As you walk in the front door, you are greeted with a massive river rock fireplace, high A frame ceilings, pool table, windows looking out to the meadow, and open floor plan. Knotty pine paneling and stain glass accents surrounds the "Great Room." A large sectional and scattered ottomans faces the fireplace and entertainment center with LCD TV, stereo, and DVD player. A slider opens out to the top wrap-around deck with patio furniture and barbeque. Its great to sit out here and breath in the trees. There is a front deck, wrap around back deck, and forest deck hosting the hot tub.

Nicknamed the "TreeHaus," your view is of the towering pine trees and seasonal creek. The house sits on a meadow with endless hiking trails, on a gentle slope for sledding in the wintertime. A path from the house leads to North National Park which has ball fields, a Frisbee golf course, picnic areas, and hiking and biking trails. In the wintertime, bring your cross country ski's or snow shoes. The trails from the house are well used in both the summer and winter months.

The open living area has a pool table and a large dining room table, both facing the fireplace and kitchen. A well appointed kitchen with wrap-around counters, Jenn Aire stove and breakfast bar that seats 5, allows for all to watch the chef cook.

Down the hall are stairs leading to a combination bedroom and entertainment room. This is a great spot for the kids, or large bedroom for a couple. There is a queen bed, bathroom, TV, stereo, and dart board. A door exits out to the bottom deck with hot tub, and access to hiking trails. The hot tub is on its own deck and looks outs onto the meadow and creek. This is the place to relax and enjoy the wildlife, and sounds of a forest.

On the main level, is a large Master bedroom with King bed, twin bed, walk in closet, and TV/DVD. The bedrooms have "Hotel Style" bedding with duvet, bed cover, bed throw and extra pillows which contributes to a good nights sleep. A slider exists out to a semi private deck overlooking the meadow. The bedroom is also connected to a full bathroom with double sinks. You have access to the bathroom from the hallway or Master Bedroom.

Up the stairs are 4 more bedrooms, and another full bathroom. To the left of the hallway is an enclosed private loft queen bedroom that has a skylight for star gazing, and single child's bed. Down the hall is a spacious bedroom with a King and twin bed. There is extra floor space here for the little ones. Next to that room is a bunk room with full size bottom and single top that adjoins to another large enclosed private loft bedroom with queen bed, and 2 twins.
Want to bring your boat and need parking? No problem. There is a garage for your "stuff" and lots of parking in the summertime.

Located on a cul de sac, you'll see more people walking their dogs, than cars passing by.

Quiet, peaceful, comfortable, and special is the tone of this home. The decor is mountain lodge, which compliments the Tahoe feeling, and amenities and location should amplify your vacation stay.

Please call if this house isn't open for your dates. I have 6 other homes that are as large with the same amenities that might be. laketahoe4u com

This home is in the middle of the Northshore and has easy access to all Lake Tahoe has to offer. 1.5 miles from the highway, getting around the Tahoe Basin is effortless. The drive around the Lake is breathtaking and you’ll enjoy the different little towns that surround the Lake. . These houses are in a quiet pocket of homes just up from the Lake at Kings Beach. All the homes here sit on a meadow with tall pine trees, and roads dead end at the hiking trails. Winter and summer they are used and maintained by the forest service. It borders the Tahoe Rim trail which is a destination for some with endless hiking trails you can access from the house. Brockway Summit is well know for its path to Tahoe City, and Watson Lake is worth hiking too. You can walk in the summertime to our neighborhood park, North National Park. The park encompasses approximately 124 acres of predominantly active recreational activities. An 18 par fitness course, ball fields, Frisbee Golf, playground are just a few options. In the wintertime they offer a nice sledding hill for tubing and snow fun. Within 20 min to all the ski resorts on the North Shore, Northstar in the closest and newest village. The village was modeled after Beaver Creek Colorado…cobblestone sidewalks, copper roofs and a multitude of restaurants and shops that line the ‘square’. The square is an ice skating rink in the wintertime and roller skating in summer. The bon fire pits and outdoor bars are always there. Its a wonderful setting to hang out at especially at night.

Skiing here is family orientated with lots of ski programs for all ages, and a pristine mountain that keeps a good grasp on good snow conditions. If your staying a week, I highly recommend taking advantage of the other resorts also. A bonus is from the house you can drive the back way to Alpine and Squaw Valley which will eliminate the morning traffic through Tahoe City. Both mountains have tons of excellent skiing, and mountain biking in the summertime. MT Rose is where to go for open terrain, Diamond Peak for kids and an easy day skiing. Both are 15 min to the house. In the summertime, Kings Beach just down the street is a State Park with lifeguard and lake toys to rent. The beach is the highlight with wide sandy beaches, and views you have to experience to appreciate. There are also smaller beaches up and down the strip for reading a book, and dog beaches for your loved ones.

Brockway golf course in Kings Beach is a must for those that just want a good time. One of the top 9 hole courses in California, its known for its yardage and views. In the wintertime the course becomes a snowmobiling park. Tahoe City is 12 miles away and offers another nice city with shops, restaurants and outdoor venues. The Truckee River is our playground for fishing, river rafting, and bike baths to view all. A nice day is renting your bike in Tahoe City and riding to River Ranch. This is a river front restaurant with large outdoor patio at the entrance to Alpine Meadows. Here is where the river tours end and usually where the rafts have issues. You can spend the day here watching the rafters and enjoying their menu and drink. Between the location , amenities of the house, and your favorite family or friends, you’ll have a great home to stay at while getting a true Lake Tahoe experience.
