This spacious 5 bedroom and 5.5 bath home is located in the Inverness section of Palmetto Dunes in a very quiet neighborhood on a cul de sac. Located only 2 short blocks from the pedestrian bridge that takes you to beach access, this home also has a private pool and fabulous golf views. The kitchen has just been renovated offering new granite countertops, cabinets, and backsplash. The wet bar has been updated with a new faucet and refrigerator and the carpet in the bedrooms and den is new. Ginger Beer 6 sleeps 12 quite comfortly and has a screened porch for watching the golfers make their shots or enjoying a book.

The tiled entry, with a half bath for Guests, leads to the large vaulted and beamed living area with a convenient wet bar and 2 huge blue and white sectionals with a sailboat motif. A large flat screen TV with DVD Player and a glass game table with 4 chairs provide entertainment options as well as windows and sliders to the screened porch for enjoying the scenic golf views. The dining room seating 8 is adjacent to the living room with views of the pool area and fairway.

The long kitchen with all white appliances offers a breakfast area with seating for six. Through a door in this room is access to the private, walled pool area where a large sunny pool awaits you. With 2 tables for 4 and numerous other seating options, there is plenty of room for the whole family to enjoy many outdoor meals using the gas grill.

Down the tiled hallway is another living area with a flat screen TV and a sleeper sofa and loveseat with a fish motif. There are also sliders to the screened porch with a wicker sofa, 2 chairs, and a coffee table.

The first bedroom is the only room upstairs with 2 twin beds with bedding in various blues, a full private bath, and a TV. Skylights keep this bedroom bright. The next bedroom also has 2 twin beds with blue and white daisy bedding and a private bath. The third has a king bed with brown and white paisley bedding and another private bath. The fourth offers a king bed with yellow and white floral bedding with a private bath. The master bedroom provides a king bed with blue and white paisley bedding, a flat screen TV, and its own private bath.

Palmetto Dunes Plantation has 3 excellent golf courses, an award winning tennis facility, a private beach club, and the General Store. Another wonderful asset is 2 oceanfront hotels and the Shelter Cove Marina with its many stores and restaurants right across William Hilton Parkway.

The house was perfect. Big rooms, beautiful pool, nice view of the golf course. The minute we left, we wanted to call and rent it again. The plantation was clean, peaceful and beautiful. We had our daughters dog most of the time and was grateful that he was allowed to stay. He is a well behaved dog so I knew he would not ruin anything but I am glad you have the faith that most people will take care of their pet. Thank you for a great experience.

HHR staff was excellent, thanks to Judy especially for good management during the property ownership transition.
6 Ginger Beer is a great property however it has not been maintained to the standards we would like to see in a vacation property.
I have every reason to believe however, that the new owners will attend to these matters and return it to the status it really deserves.

We enjoyed our week despite the crummy weather and thousands of visitors on the island for spring break/golf tourney. Only negatives: no heat in pool, no hot tub, not sure when trash was picked up and it could use more TVs and DVD players for rainy days.
