vacation rental description

A Taste of Tuscany in Baja, Mexico Opened March 1st 2004!
BAJA MEXICO - People who are familiar with the spectacular Baja
Pacific Coast will be pleased to discover one of the newest
properties in Los Gaviotas is open for rental. Los Gaviotas, for
the uninitiated, is a 30 year old gated community of private
residences and rental properties nestled along the beautiful Mexican
Coastline just 45 minutes south of San Diego, California. Long
popular with California vacationers, as well as savvy surfers around
the US and the world, Los Gaviotas and the surrounding Rosarito area
offer a wide range of activities for the entire family.
This newer property, lovingly called Casa Toscana de Baja by the
owners, is awash in charm, comfort, and functionality. Facing
almost due west, this 2,400 square foot property offers a 180 degree
view of some of the most stunning sunsets anywhere in the world,
from the two spacious balconies along the front of the house.
The gorgeous white water views even make morning coffee an extra
special occasion!
The owners told this reporter that they decided to make the main
theme of this home reminiscent of the Tuscany Region of Italy
because of their affinity for all things wine-related, including
pairing interesting wine with interesting food. Upon reaching the
top floor of the home, the guests will be struck with an abundance
of appealing furniture and decorations. This floor holds the fully
equipped kitchen, a spacious living area with a large brick
fireplace, a "Second Master" bedroom with a King-Size bed and a
private bathroom, another half bath just off the Living Room, and a
terrace with outdoor furniture and a gas grill. The living area
has a large screen TV, a DVD/VCR Player with Surround-Sound, and a
better than average DVD and VCR collection with selections for all
ages. A good variety of amusing and entertaining games are also on
hand. The owners also invite their guests to bring their favorite
CDs for playing on the stereo system.
When it's finally time to rest up for the next day's activities, the
visitor can go down stairs to the three other beautiful bedrooms.
Each bedroom at this level has its own private bathroom, and is
decorated in a unique and interesting theme. The Master Bedroom,
with its King-Size bed, is on this level and provides the guest with
a "Taste of the Tropics". The beautiful bathroom has a double
vanity and large shower, complete with a bathtub - unusual in
traditional Mexican architecture. Romance abounds in this
private "retreat", which includes a fireplace and an inside
conversation area for those few chilly evenings, a large ocean view
terrace, and even a large television with DVD/VCR player for cozy
late night viewing.
The other two bedrooms on this level are also decorated in
distinctive style. The "Nautical" room, with its Queen-Size bed,
is a whimsical tribute to the stunning Pacific Ocean just steps away
from the home's front door. The "Safari" room gives the weary
traveler a taste of the wild jungle without leaving the safety and
beauty of the Baja Coast. This sanctuary has two Twin-Size beds
that are perfect for the kids in the group. There is a gaming
system on the TV in this room. There is a completely unique
feature in the "Safari" room. If the group includes all adults,
the owners have thoughtfully provided a "gadget" that will convert
the two twin beds into another King-Size bed so no one has to sleep
alone! Private baths in both rooms insure a "no-waiting" policy in
this Paradise on the Pacific.
Although content to enjoy the amenities of this awesome property,
this reporter is well aware that most vacationers will want to know
about what is available in the area. He is happy to inform the
guests, that unless you are staying for several years, you may never
run out of things to do in the Rosarito, Los Gaviotas, Puerta Nueva
areas. And even if that does happen, there is always Tijuana - 25
minutes north, or Encinada - just 30 minutes south.

Gonzo for Rosarito Beach Getaway

Review submitted: October 15, 2012   Date of arrival: August 9, 2012

Casa Toscana de Baja has become my go-to choice for making the
getaway from the hustle and bustle of my fast-paced business-centric
life in the Inland Empire. Just a few shorts hours on the road from
home and I am transported to a whole different world where the pace
is what I decide it will be. I've stayed here 10+ times and finally
decided to share why with everyone else. The house is beautiful and
well appointed throughout. The bedrooms are theme based and each
has it's own bathroom ensuring everyone has privacy and no lines for
the shower when the whole gang is there. The top floor's open floor
plan is great for gathering together for the epicurean delights created
in a kitchen with plenty of hardware and gadgets. The adjacent dining
and living rooms are bright and airy with plenty of room to mingle,
dance, lounge on the couch, sip wine or enjoy a pitcher of
margaritas. The patio decks off of the second level master bedroom
and third level living room are great for taking in the views of the
ocean and sunsets as well as the action on the tennis courts just
below. I don't surf but I've been told there is a great break along the
beach that stretches along the Las Gaviotas complex. I do walk
along the beach, swim in the pool, jacuzzi before bed and get plenty
of relaxation. Which brings me to the safety and peace of mind my
companions and I have within the walled, gated and security patrolled
complex. If you take plenty of supplies with you, you never have to
leave the Las Gaviotas community. On the other hand, there are several very good
restaurants and plenty of activities outside the complex. We had a
marvelous day in the Guadalupe wine country and tasted some
wonderful wines during my last stay. The owners of the house are
sincere and have given me recommendations for activities,
restaurants, grocery stores and shopping. The value can't be beat!
Go there, you will see for yourself.

Recommended for: adventure seekers, age 55+, families with young children, families with teenagers, girls getaway, sight seeing, romantic getaway

The value can't be beat! (Six of us shared the wine country trip in August and the cost per person around $50 a night for the house). Go there, you will see for yourself.

Owners response: We are so pleased that you enjoy our home away from home. We look forward to having you enjoy our Casa again. You might want to try the winter months, they are quieter and the weather is delightful.

A wonderful vacation spot

Review submitted: July 6, 2012   Date of arrival: June 9, 2012

My girlfriend and I have been coming here for years. It's a great place and always clean, which is nice. The view is amazing and it's so close to the water. Go, if you can!

Owners response: We are so grateful that you have enjoyed our home. It helps me relax better when I know that I am coming to a clean place. Thank you so much for choosing Casa Toscana, we look forward to your return.
