traveler reviews for this bat cave house rental

We want to live here!

Review submitted: August 2, 2014   Date of arrival: July 25, 2014

I could write a book on how fantastic our weekend at this cabin was. It was love at first sight. From the architecture, natural wood floors and fully stocked laundry to the dreamy view of the mountains thru the huge windows on the porch and the hot tub, Ladybug Hill was all we imagined and more. Tom was a first rate host and fit in like one of the family with great local stories and suggestions to visit. And plenty of room for all of us. Thanks so much for making our family reunion extra memorable! We WILL be back by unanimous vote.

Owners response: Thank you so much for your so very kind words. We feel honored to have guests like you share our home. Your opinion of your stay brought tears to my eyes, because when we opened Ladybug Hill to visitors, our goal was to make the cabin feel like home, treat guests like we treat our family, provide them with what they would need just like at home, and ultimately they would have a safe, comfortable and satisfying stay. If there is anything else that you feel needs to be provided for you for your next vacation stay with us, your suggestions will be most appreciated. Looking forward to next time, and so glad you had a great reunion. Just a note: hope all is well with your brother's home.

Just as pictured.

Review submitted: June 18, 2014   Date of arrival: June 9, 2014

The pictures and description of the property are accurate. My husband and I enjoyed the peace and quiet. The cabin was clean and comfortable. I appreciated having toilet paper, paper towels, detergent, fabric softener, dish washing liquid and coffee available. Tom, the manager, was very friendly and gave us helpful tips on our daily excursions. My granddaughter and I enjoyed climbing Chimney Rock, my husband not so much. We loved hiking to Triple Falls and High Falls. We look forward to returning to Asheville, NC there's so much more to see and do.

Owners response: Anita, Thank you so much for the very lovely review. Just a note...Our family went to Chimney Rock all the way to the top on a particularly windy day, children and adults. I was afraid my daughter-in-law, who weighs all of 100 lbs.was going to be swept away when she got close to the edge ! What a gorgeous view, wasn't it? There are so many sights to see and things to do in the area, I do hope you will remember us for your next vacations, should you return to the mountains.

Great relaxation

Review submitted: June 16, 2014   Date of arrival: June 9, 2014

Can't say enough about our stay. Tom, the caretaker, was very helpful in seeing we had an enjoyable stay. Very quiet and scenic. Good local restaurants in the area and everyone we met was so nice to us "tourist".

Owners response: Thank you so much. Hope you will consider us for future stays!
