Most rentals offer you the basics, but, we believe, it is all in the
details. 
Our part of Florida is made up of a unique combination of pines and
palms growing in very sandy soil. A bald eagle pair nest each year
just down the road. Wildlife abounds because this area is still
only lightly developed. Yet, all the conveniences are relatively
close at hand. There are some incredible restaurants that serve
only the freshest of fish. Even non-seafood eaters learn to enjoy
this area's bounty from the sea. About 10 miles to the East is
Appalachicola which is famous throughout the world for its oysters.
Try some lightly steamed or raw, they are incredible. Scallops and
shrimp are harvested from the Gulf daily. You just cannot get any
fresher. We provide you with a list of local restaurants along with
a very candid critique of our dining experiences there.
There just is not a better view of the Gulf anywhere. A 180 degree
sweep of the horizon from the Gulf-view balconies encompass several
miles of deserted white-sand beaches gently yielding to the blue
Gulf waters. Dolphins lazily swim by while gulls, cranes and
pelicans search for fish. Shrimp trawlers, boats and sailboats can
sometimes be seen in the far distance. Fluffy white clouds stream
slowly by against a deep-blue sky. Many times bright lightening and
dark thunder clouds can be seen in the distance while the sun shines
brightly where you sit. Dusk brings incredible sunsets. And, at
night, you just cannot believe the number of stars that can be seen;
even the milky way is visible.  Our extra-wide ramp takes you to the hard sand of the beach. Wading and swimming from our beach is very pleasant. The sandy bottom gently slopes for hundreds of feet before you can no longer touch
bottom. Waves vary from small to giant depending upon the wind and
weather. You can become a skilled sandcastle builder if you are so
inclined. Occasionally a turtle (very protected) will build her
nest along our beach and baby turtles can be seen scampering toward
a full moon after hatching.

You can place and order for groceries with our staff for the cost of
the groceries and a small handling charge. Your pantry will then be
stocked and waiting for your arrival.

Daily maid service is available for an additional $35 a day. Daily
service includes sweeping floors, making beds, hanging towels,
garbage removal and a quick dusting. For an additiona charge, your
dishes, pots and pans can be cleaned and stored away. Laundry
service is available although you have two super-capacity washers
with 9 wash cycles and a double rinse cycle to insure that your
clothers come out clean and soap free, super-capacity dryers with
six drying cycles, iron and board in the laundry room just off the
kitchen.  Any other reasonable service may be available for an additional
charge. Just let us know what you require and we will do our best
to provide it.

Although you will probably not have time to watch TV, we do provide
72-Channel cable in each bedroom and great room which includes local channels.  Bedroom wall-mounted flat-screen TVs have built in DVD players. WIFI internet access is provided along with local calling phone service.

The house is designed with two floors, each floor is a copy of the
other with a central hall or greatroom that faces the Gulf. A full
wall of windows on each floor affords stunning Gulf views from
the kitchen, dining room and living room. Italian porcelain tile
floors throughout. Granite covered kitchen counter tops sparkle in
deep midnight blue with pearl shimmers. Brushed nickel pendant
lights illuminate the peninsula. Pure White Cabinets with brushed
nickel pulls are roomy and include a butlers pantry and built in
garbage container. Disposal, dishwasher, side-by-side refridgerator
with child lock and a GE water filtration system that delivers clean
great-tasting water and ice through the in-the-door light touch
dispenser. Self-cleaning super-large electric ranges and ovens.
Over-the-stove microwaves have an outside venting system that
removes smoke and steam from the cooktop.
Kitchens are fully equipped with top-of-the-line products. Each
kitchen has:

The dining room is located in the center of the central halls.  Seating at the Island counter for four.  Seating for 6 is provided at each of the round wood and glass tables surrounded by intricately carved dining chairs. An additional three dolphin seats are near by at the granite coverd kitchen peninsula. On the second floor, a turn-of-the century Oriental sideboard can seat three. On the first floor, a sideboard opens to seat an additional eight guests. Ocean blue thin ceramic dinnerware with bamboo placemats are provided for that touch of the tropics. Bamboo napkins and pebble napkin rings add a casual elegance to your dinner service. Ceramic and glass coffee mugs are coordinated with the dinner service flanked by various sized wine and water glasses. Hobnail stainless flatware completes the place setting. Service for 24.

Each living room includes a full-sized hobnail trimmed leather couch
flanked by two matching leather love seats that providing ample
conversation room for you and all your guests. A large glass coffee
table sits atop a pure wool accent rug in sunset colors.  A large flat-screen TV with DVD player is ready for group viewings.

On each floor we have four master bedrooms with their own private, attached
bath. Each of the three master bedrooms measures 12x14 and contains
a Kingsize bed (see below for bed details) with a full-wall closet. A flat-screen TV with built in DVD makes your bedroom viewing pleasant. The front two
master bedrooms have full-wall windows that face the Gulf and
sliding doors that open to the porch. Wake up to the pleasant sound
of surf and seagulls. The third master bedroom faces a quiet pine
and palm forest and also overlooks the nicely landscaped entry yard
complete with pool and fountain. One of the Gulf-facing bedrooms is equipped with everything needed for the disabled person's comfort. This bedroom/bath combination is especially designed for handicapped access and will provide a
pleasant vacation experience for disabled or elderly persons. It is equipped with:

• a sliding pocket door to the bathroom for easy wheelchair
  access.

• A low-rise shower with a swivel seat transfer bench

• Also available, a Platform Beach Wheelchair Dolly introduces a new era in beach accessibility for the disabled guest. The Platform Dolly permits your wheelchair to cross sand, grass, dirt, and difficult terrain. Users remain in the comfort of their own wheelchair. Using "fatso beach wheelchair tires" the Platform Dolly allows safe and secure wheelchair transport over most anything.  Includes lockable brake system. See photo below. 

The fourth master bedroom contains two double bunk beds - a total of
four twin beds - and is designed for children and young adults. Of
course, adults can use this room, too. There is ample room to play
and run video games (gaming machines not included) on the flat-
screen TV with built in DVD.

These are the same mattresses used in many cruise ships. Each
mattress is protected with a GORE-TEX mattress cover for breathable
comfort and protection. Dust mites cannot penetrate this fabric
providing you with a restful and allergy-free night�s rest. The
unique GORE membrane contains 9 billion pores per square inch. Every
pore is 20,000 times smaller then a drop of water, preventing liquid
from penetrating the membrane. These same pores are 700 times larger
then a water vapor molecule, providing unparalleled comfort. All
king sheets are 600 Thread count, 100% Combed Cotton with a sateen
weave guaranteed wrinkle-free for ultimate comfort your entire
stay. All bedding is pure white except for the top comforter. Each

Bath description:
Two of the master baths have fully tiled bath tubs with showers.
Curved stainless steel curtain rod allows extra room when

features a dobby border. They are wonderfully absorbant and are
constructed with premium long staple combed Egyptian cotton to
ensure a soft and luxurious feel even after repeated washings. Each
bathroom contains two bath sheets for a full-body wrap, two standard
towels, two hand towels and two washcloths. Oatmeal, cello wrapped
soap bars combine a refreshing fragrance with contemporary
packaging. Limïn-Essence U from NATURA soothes and envelops your
body with superior luxury in sented lather. The revitalizing
lemongrass aroma invigorates the senses and soothes the mind.
A guest bath, off each of the main greatrooms, provides a separate
powder room for company.

Two full porches span the beach side of the house. They are 50 feet
wide and 11 feet deep for even the biggest of parties. Windows span
the entire width of the house so that you can enjoy from any of the
front-facing rooms. The second floor has a vaulted ceiling for a
spacious feel.

Beach Towels provided.
Hot/Cold enclosed beach shower keeps the sand out of the home. We even provide shampoo and towels for your four-legged friends. Dog crates are available should you want to play while leaving them at the beach house.

How about relaxing, reading and snoozing. What a novel idea for a
vacation! Otherwise there is beach fishing, charter fishing, sea-
doo rental, para-sailing over the Gulf, horseback riding on the
beach, scalloping, taking an island ferry to St. Vincent's National
Wildlife Refuge for biking, hiking and bird watching. Visit St
Joseph Peninsula State Park. Turtle watching, horseback riding and
all the other things one would expect to do on a Florida vacaton.
