Vacation Rental Description

Come visit the amazingly beautiful St Simon's Island, and 
particularly East Beach!  This family home has been well loved in 
our family since the 1970's.  We have managed to keep it in the 
family, and now is a new era for the Furse Cottage!  We have totally renovated this home since fall 
of 2007.  This home can be  used as two separate units, with one bedroom and a Daybed upstairs, or 2 
bedrooms with alternate sleeping spaces downstairs.  You have complete privacy in either 
the upstairs or downstairs "mini-cottages".  Each has its unique 
qualities, described below. To get to the beach, just walk out the 
door and stroll a few yards to the pathway through sand dunes and 
beautiful beach landscaping compliments of "Mother Nature".  You are 
there...the most beautiful beach you have ever seen!  

Rentals are vacation rentals and/or short term rentals only 
for both units.  Please look over the rental rates and availability, and decide 
whether the upstairs or downstairs apartments would be  right for you and 
contact us.  You may decide that your family needs the entire 
house.  Those arrangements can be made, as well.  We know you will 
love your escape to the Georgia coast, and to the well-loved Furse 
Cottage.

Upstairs "Mini-Cottage"--This has 1 bedroom (queen sized bed),  Daybed,
kitchen, Living Room, Desk area with wireless internet access, 1 
bathroom, a beautifully re-built screened in porch, and a large 
deck.  You have a private entrance and parking area.  Has been 
completely renovated, including beautiful hardwood floors, new tile, fresh paint, new light 
fixtures, ceiling fans, and furniture.  Also  have a newly 
installed "french door" leading to the screened in porch.  This 
beautiful and cheerful living area has been a favorite of our family 
for years.

Downstairs "Mini-Cottage"--This area has 2 bedrooms, one with a King 
Sized bed, and the other with a double bed and bunkbeds, 2 bathrooms, kitchen and 
dining room, living room, and a patio area.  There is a private 
entrance and parking area.  This, too, is being completely 
renovated, including the kitchen and bathroom areas, and new carpet 
and tile, along with being completely painted inside.  New light 
fixtures and ceiling fans are being hung, and new furniture bought.  
Be one of the first to rent this beautiful and comfortable beach 
cottage.  There is ample room for other sleeping areas in the living 
room.
