Four minutes from the Arc de Triomphe with train RER line A, this quiet, bright apartment is on the
15th floor of a 19-storey residence overlooking Paris in La Défense Courbevoie district. It was
recently fully refurbished and redecorated.
The sun-filled dining room has a sofa bed that sleep two, a table to
seat four comfortably, a desk, a wardrobe, a TV with english
channels, a radio and CD player, internet DSL access, and a telephone.
The kitchen is well equipped and includes a table, a microwave, micro
wave oven, coffee-maker, electric kettle, a
toaster, cooking utensils, a ceramic hob, a dishwasher, a washing
machine, and a large refrigerator/freezer.
Iron and iron table are available.
The romantic bedroom has a queen size bed, two bed side tables, a
chest of drawers, one large mirror.
The bathroom is equipped with a bathtub, shower, two sinks, a toilet
and plenty of storage room.
The marble lobby has exposed wooden ceilings and large
picture windows. Two concierges and an access code ensure good
security.
The apartment building is surrounded by a wide forum planted with
vegetation.
The Charras mall is on the ground floor with a supermarket, many restaurants, cafés, and shops.
Also on the ground floor of the building is an international newsstand, as well as a boulangerie,
and the municipal swimming pool featuring a sauna, solarium, volley ball, ice skating and bowling
facilities. Three gardens with trees, a fountain and flowers are at the edges of this lively area.
The nearby Métro station line 1 called "La Défense" gives easy access to all of Paris.
The RER line A called "La Défense-Grande Arche" reaches the Champs-Elysées in 4 minutes.
Many buses (176, 175, 275, 278, 73) Taxis and rental cars rank near by.
We have an excellent public transportation service.
Paris St-Lazare station is at 8mn from home.
Roissy Charles de Gaulle and Orly airports are only 35 mn away from home.
The apartment is in a lively neighbourhood with sports facilities, a 16-screen cinema, a host of
shops, theatres, cultural venues, restaurants, bars, cafés and indoor and outdoor markets.
The metro line goes directly into the centre of Paris.
La Défense Courbevoie is at the western end of Paris'Historical Axis, which
starts at the Louvre museum and takes in the Champs-Elysées and the
Arc de Triomphe. The district is named for the statue, La Défense de
Paris, which was built in commémoration of the defence of Paris
during the 1870 Franco-Prussian War.
The most famous landmark in La Défense is la Grande Arche, a monument
dedicated to humanity and humanitarian ideals which was inaugurated
in 1989. The roof section is an exhibition centre, and offers
impressive views of Paris.
Another must-see is the Center of New Industries and Technologies
(CNIT), an architectural landmark. The district has over 60 hectares
of parkland, gardens, squares, shaded plazas, and terraces. Les
Quatre Temps, the largest shopping centre in Europe, features over
200 shops. The church of Notre Dame de Pentecôte offers extra calm
and culture.
Nearby is the Bois de Boulogne where the three stars parc of
Bagatelle is with its so famous roses beds.
Roland Garros and the Hippodrome of Longchamp are at 15mn from the
apartment
Also to be seen is the Versailles' castle, Giverny where Monet's
house is, Auvers-sur-Oise, the Impressionnistes' world...
Theaters, cabarets, concerts are at 5 minutes away.
