The home is centrally located in a great neighborhood just off of RT
41 in South Venice at 500 W Seminole Drive; minutes from the island
and beaches.


New air conditioning 1/2014 for your additional comfort.

The home is a 2 + bedroom - 1100' (additional sleeping
areas are available in the separately air conditioned lanai 225' and
the den), 2 bath and 1 car garage (available for use only on request)
single family home located on a large lot with a private backyard.

The backyard has large Oak trees and an orange tree to provide great
shade so you can sit out under the trees or enjoy the day in your large screened lanai.

The master suite includes a king bed with a pillow top mattress, 32" Stereo TV,dresser, ceiling fan,  and huge closet.

The guest bedroom includes a king bed (premium 14" Dormia mattress), ceiling fan, 30" RCA Stereo TV  and a huge closet.

The bathroom located off the Master bedroom includes a tub/ shower
while the bathroom located off the den includes only a shower.

The bedroom or den includes deluxe twin sleep sofa with an innerspring mattress for comfort.

In the living room we have a new leather sofa and loveseat and a 52" HDTV PROJECTION
TV with DVD/ VCR including Stereo system for audio enjoyment. We have installed in addition to combo DVD/VCR a blu-ray player as well stocked with many dvd's.

You have access to movies on demand with Comcast Digital TV (SOME PAY PER VIEW AT ADDITIONAL COST).  Music channels available on Deman that you can play through the Stereo system.  We have availble Comcst Hi speed internet available including wifi.

In the large air conditioned lanai we have - 2- (new) phonton full size sofa beds.

We have an additional 27" TV  and 10" AC/DC TV/ VCR with a VCR for use on Lanai.

The kitchen is completely furnished with all the appliances that you should need including a water treatment system to ensure the best drinking water is available.

The laundry is located on the screen lanai complete with full size new
washer and dryer.

We have Weber grass grill with side burner for your vacation use located on the outside lanai.  In the screen outside lanai you have a large 6-8 person glass table so that you can eat outside to enjoy the Florida evenings.

We have two bikes that are available for use upon request.

You can use the South Venice ferry service to go to a private beach
located within minutes from the home (user fee applies - 2014 $40 / mth per family). Many other great beaches located in short distances. You can travel onto the
Island within a few minutes via the south bridge near the airport
where you will find many fine restaurants, shops, the "Venice Pier"
for fishing, bike on the new bike trails around the ICW
(Inter-coastal waterway) beaches to hunt for sharks tooth's or
shells and other attractions. For the vacationer who would like to
golf, boat or fish are close nearby.

Swimming, Franks theater - short distance from home, boating,
fishing, golfing, biking, sharks tooth hunting, The Wang Theater in
Sarasota, shelling, sun bathing, walking, shopping or just relaxing
Venice has it all.  We have spring training baseball nearby; go to Sarasota or Fort Myers to see spring training baseball.  We also have a double A club nearby as well. You can go up to Tampa for a "Buc's" game in under an hour or go to the Hard Rock Casino.

*******Security Deposit per rental is a minimum of $200 per week of rental up to $1,500.  The typical secuirty deposit for a month is $400 and for a week $200. 

The security deposit will be returned upon inspection
within 1-2 business days. A credit card authorization maybe used for
the deposit in lieu of cash or check.  As stated in the lease; we DO NOT deposit the security check simply return the check or destroy the check upon exit; unless something is wrong.

Cleaning fee will apply to monthly rentals and to weekly rentals of $150 per rental. The cleaning fee maybe agreed to be waived if the home is cleaned prior to exit and used bedding (sheets and pillow cases) are put into washer. We have not charged a cleaning fee ever (4 + years) as folks do the simple cleaning to avoid any fee's.

Pets required additional security deposit please inquiry. Cleaning fee
will apply to all rentals that have pets of $100 per rental. Fee maybe
waived upon agreement.  We have not had any problems with pets; so we simply require a lease provision for the pets.  Please NOTE that you CAN NOT leave any animal tied or chained unattended in Sarasota County.

Longer-term leases are available; please inquiry for the period that
you would desire.

If you desire to rent for more than one month a discount of at least 3% will
apply (not valid January - April), please inquiry.  If a special coupon has been used no additional discount will apply.

If stay with us and book a reservation for the following year, we will discount all rates by 5% (full rate not advertised special rate) after your first stay, if you book your next years stay upon departure, deposit due within ninety days of rental.  To receive discount you must pay your deposit at least 90 days in advance of your next stay.

Rates shown below are based upon double occupancy; additional guests may require additional charges per term of the lease, please inquiry.

All rentals for periods of less than 6 months are subject to tourist
12% (as of MAY 1, 2011) tax which is NOT included in the rates below:

Deposit are required which vary based upoon your stay.  We DO NOT deposit those deposits until you arrive.  If you stay beyond that month then the following rental amount is due upon the first day of the next rental period. All deposit requirements are clearly stated in our written lease.

We require a security deposit for each rental which varies upon rental term. We DO NOT deposit the security deposit checks; we return the voided check as soon after your departure as possible.

If you cancel and we are able to re-rent the thereafter, that portion
of rent received for the period you have paid for will be returned at
conclusion of that rental.

All terms of the rental will be included in the lease that you will be sent to you via email.  The written lease terms will govern the rental.  We require a signed lease prior to your rental that will specify our and your responsbilities.

Great stay in Venice

We had a great time in Venice and enjoyed staying at this home. Mark was very responsive to all of my questions prior to the visit and during our stay. The house is only 5 miles from the beaches. The town is great too. It doesn't seem to be as commercialized as say Daytona or Panama City. It is more laid back. The beaches are never too packed and it was always easy to find parking. I would recommend this rental home to anyone planning on visiting Venice. We were very happy with our experience.

Recommended for: age 55+, families with young children, families with teenagers, girls getaway, pet-friendly
