Vacation Rental Description

Sauve Terre is a beautiful property on the Club del Lago Golf estate with great views of the Golf 
Course and within metres of the Club House. 
 It comprises several buildings situated on 10,000 square metres of landscaped gardens - a main 
house of large proportions with upstairs comprising a main bedroom (ensuite bathroom with jacuzzi) 
incorporating its own open fireplace and parents retreat, a family room 
and a visitors bathroom. Downstairs there are three other bedrooms (one with ensuite) and a main 
bathroom.  The large living area downstairs has a built-in bar and 
beautiful views of the gardens and golf course.  The adjoining dining area,
seats 10 and there is a large kitchen and a powder room next to the living area.
The basement level comprises a triple garage, laundry and servants quarters. 

There is a separate tower building with three levels consisting of one
bedroom on each of the first two levels and a lookout on the top level.
The bedrooms are large and they each have an open fire place and large
ensuite bathroom.

In the middle of the extensive grounds, there is a bistro style building with its own indoor BBQ 
(wood-fired parrillero) bar, fridge, powder room etc. that seats up to 30 people.
Under the full size swimming pool there is a separate health and fitness area with 2 
bathrooms/showers and a jacuzzi.
 

Vacation Rental Amenities

The property is easily accessible from the International Punta del Este 
Airport which is only a 15 minute drive and the beaches are 5 
minutes away by car.  Bike rentals, taxis, tennis courts, horseriding, 
rowing on the lake are available at the nearby Club del Lago which is
within walking distance of this property. 
 
The house and tower are all fully equipped with china, flatware, 
glassware, cookware and utensils.  Refrigerators, dishwasher, 
washing machine, radio, TV (cable transmission available on request) and 
internet facilites.  Sheets, blankets, pillows, towels and table 
linen.  The pool and garden are regularly maintained.   

Activities and Attractions

Punta del Este is famous for its beautiful sandy beaches and family 
atmosphere.  It is one of the most beautiful resorts in the world.  
You can go out every night till all hours of the morning and be part 
of the 'noise' in the Peninsula or enjoy the peace and quiet of your 
own private retreat.  The summer season usually begins after 
Christmas and continues until mid-march.  Every year Punta del Este 
hosts the Jazz and International Film Festival.  You can swim, 
parasail, water-ski, jet-ski, dine out and enjoy the best beef in 
the world at one of Punta del Este's excellent restaurants.  There 
are also several Casinos and lots and lots of nightlife!!  In 
winter, it is quiet, but you can still play golf, go horseriding, 
drive to the many interesting places around the area, go bushwalking 
and lots more.  Car rentals, maps, and touring services can be arranged for you.
From Punta del Este you can drive along the coast to the Brazilian border with
its interesting shopping strip.  In summer there are flights into Punta del Este
arriving at short intervals from Aeroparque, the City airport of Buenos Aires (Argentina).
Montevideo is an hour's drive and you can catch a ferry from Montevideo to Buenos Aires or
travel to Colonia (a 2 hour drive from Montevideo) a typical old Spanish town. You can then
cross to Buenos Aires on the Ferry Boat.  From Punta del Este you can visit an Estancia
(Ranch) and experience the country life.

Punta del Este was established by the English community and it still has a European feel
and international glamour.  For those who want to experience the bubbly life that it can offer,
we recommend travelling in the summer months (Jan/Feb) but for those who a looking for a beautiful 
hideaway, you can experience that all year round!
