Vacation Rental Description

The chalet is a tri-level house with 4 Bedrooms, 2 Full Bathrooms,
Open Floor Plan with Kitchen, 
Dining Room, and Living Room with Cathedral Ceilings. We have Cable
TV, VCR, and Stereo. Additional 
Living Room in lower level with TV and VCR. Kitchen is fully equipped
with everything you need to 
cook with. We also have a gas grill for your use.

Our chalet is on the mountain just below Barker Mtn Base Lodge in
Viking Village. It is located at 
18 Walters Way, at Sunday River Ski Resort, in Bethel, ME. 
  
Viking Village is the only private home section which is located on
the mountain. 

Vacation Rental Amenities

Located across the street from the Road Runner Trail above White Cap
Lodge and Below 
Barker Mtn Base Lodge. Hikers may be interested in going across the
street and up 
the mountain. Skiers will definitely be interested in walking to the
Road Runner 
Trail with skis in hand, putting on your skies once on the trail, and
skiing down to White Cap 
Lodge, getting your lift ticket and taking the chair lift up the
mountain. All mountains are 
interconnected so you can get anywhere you want by starting out at the
White Cap Chairlift.   

Activities and Attractions

Summer Activities are numberous! Sunday River is developing and
becoming a summer attraction as well as a winter hot spot! Come put
your bike on a chair lift and take it to the top of the North Peak and
ride the mountain. Mountain bikes are for rent or bring your own. On a
clear day you can 
see Mt. Washington. There are plenty of places to go hiking, even
right outside the door of the 
chalet, you can walk up the mountains. Stop in at the Bethel Chamber
of Commerce for a list of hiking trails. Grafton Notch is about a 25
min. drive and offers a variety of trails in length and difficulty

Sunday River offers golfing at the Sunday River Golf Course. We are
located 6 miles from the Sunday 
River Golf Course, located on the side of a mountain. This course has
breath-taking views and is 
somewhat challenging. Go to the Sunday River website and view this
magnificent golf course. The 
Bethel Country Club also offers a wonderful course, located in the
town of Bethel, about 6 miles 
away from the Chalet. The Bethel Country Club is a very historical and
beautiful quaint hotel. Try 
them both and see which you prefer. You can also go to the Bethel
Chamber of Commerce's Website for 
more information.  

The chalet is located just 40 minutes to the Mt. Washington Scenic
Route, where you can drive your 
car to the top, and 45 min. to Pinkham Notch Visitor Center if you're
looking to hike Mt Washington. 

We are also located about 1 hr from Story Land, Six Gun City and
Santa's Village if you're in the 
mood for amusement parks and water parks. Nearby, there are are canoe
and kayak rentals, bike 
trails, ATV rentals, horse back riding, the Casablanca Movie Theatre,
Mini Golf, Waterslides, a Rock 
Climbing Wall, and Lazer Tag at the Big Adventure in Bethel. Davis
Park offers skateboarding, swings 
and slides and climbers, and a walking and biking path. There is also
a gym, Ellie and Andy's 
workout world.  

In winter, Sunday River offers downhill and cross-country skiing,
snowboarding, ice skating, 
snowmobile rentals, snow tubing, and plenty of restaurants and pubs
for dining and entertainment. 
Most weekends there are fireworks and lots of events for kids in
addition to skiing. Sunday River 
has the best learn to ski program for adults and children. They offer
private, semi-private and 
group lessons in snowboarding, skiing, trick-skiing, and telemark
skiing. Check out their website as 
they are extremely reasonable. The terrain at Sunday River includes
everything you can imagine. From 
groomed trails, to bumps, to ungroomed trails, and snowboard and ski
parks with half-pipes, 
everything from green trails to what I consider triple black diamonds.
You name it, they got it. So 
try Sunday River. You won't be disappointed. And the place is so big,
you won't be waiting long in 
the chair lift line. 

Vacation Rental Rates

ONLY $700/week  SPRING - SUMMER - FALL  !!!!   
 
Book Now and take advantage of our rates valid April 1, 2008 -
November 20th, 2008.
 
Our winter rates are $2400/week with Christmas and February vacation
as $3500/week. We rent on a per 
night rate of $350/night Sunday-Thursday and $400/Friday and Saturday.
During vacation weeks, it's 
$550/ night.
Additional Fees include the following: 
* Cleaning fee - $125.00
* Maine rental tax is 7% of the total rental rate(not including the
cleaning fee.)
* Security deposit - $500 (A separate check which we return no more
than 7 
days after checking out and after our cleaning agency has checked the
chalet. )
