the best vacation ever

I spent a week here with my family and it was wonderful. Everything was just as advertised and I was not disappointed with anything. It was clean, large enough for alot of people, the bedroom views were awesome, The porch was the favorite spot especially for the kids. I hope to come back again as it certainly was the best investment I made as it brought my whole family together. There was something nearby for everyone's specific interest and no one left dissatisfied. Do yourself a favor and check this place out. WONDERFUL!!!! Thank you so much for the best vacation I've had in a safe, bright and spacious home.

By the way, the guys of the family went fishing at night and caught very large spriper bass which was enjoyed by all on the grill. WOW!!! Believe me...everyone left happy

Recommended for: age 55+, families with young children, families with teenagers, sight seeing, tourists without a car

This is my 4th year renting this property. You couldn't ask for a better location. The house is a work in progress and it is always nice to see the progress from year to year. All the modern amenities make this "beach house" a rare find.

The roof does not leak (unless windows are left open in a rainstorm perhaps). Since we have the luxury of four bathrooms with showers there is always a chance the hot water might run low if everyone decides to take a shower at the same time
and run the dishwasher!

We consider ourselves very lucky to have the opportunity to spend a week each year in this awesome house.

Recommended for: families with young children, families with teenagers

The house was very clean. The location was great. The structure was so-so - the roof leaks over the dining area, the water heater only works some of the time.
Since we enjoyed the location so much we decided to come back in 2011.
After accepting my booking in October 2010 and cashing my deposit the owner decided in late February 2011 that he needed the house for himself the week that I had booked in August. Then he dithered around returning my money; assuring that not only did I loose this house, but ruining any chance of finding something else to rent. Stay away.

Recommended for: adventure seekers

Owners response: We have been successfully renting this beautiful beach front home for over 20 years, without one compaint. This house is a brand new renovation with a brand new roof which does not leak, we also have a brand new water heater. This renter rented the prior year and never advised us of any problems. After a miscommunication between the owner and the rental manager, this renter was offered two other prime summer weeks in August, and only after they told us they found another rental was there money returned in full.
