mangrove and lush vegetation. 

Property features giant waterfall just feet from the ocean to wash 
off after ocean swimming, surfing, or snorkel. This villa compound 
at Playa Ballena offers a rare look at Costa Rica's diverse wild in 
AAA luxury, with completely staffed house that includes maid 
service, security, catering and concierge. Ballena is a migration 
area for humpback whales, which appear each October-March.

Ballena is also one of Costa Rica's top novice surfing destinations 
with long waves that break gentle on the outside, and then roll for 
a long way in towards land. For advanced surfer, Domanical is close 
and offers larger, more challenging waves. 

The Villa Compound at Playa Ballena offer a private landing strip

airports less than one hour away.
