This lovely Spanish style 2 bedroom home can accomodate 6 people, with a queen in one bedroom, a
double in the second bedroom, and a double pullout sleep sofa in the livingroom. It has hardwood
floors, a separate dining room, a gas fireplace in the living room, and an enclosed patio with a gas
grill perfect for BBQs.
It is only 4 blocks to the center of town, Newport Avenue, with its shops, restaurants, antique
stores and the weekly Farmers Market. Walk 2 blocks west on Newport and you come the huge municipal
beach and the famous Ocean Beach Pier, it is the longest in California. The Pier is a favorite spot
for fishing, watching the surfers, and relaxing. There is a restaurant at the end of the Pier if
you need refreshment, and want to dine over the Pacific.
The municipal beach is bordered on the south by the tidepools, and on the north by Dog Beach, all
dogs, all day. The coves are shared beaches, dogs are allowed, on a leash, before 10a.m. and after
6p.m.
Ocean Beach is one of San Diego's friendliest neighborhoods, and is known for its unhurried small
town atmosphere. It is so compact and flat that it is easy to walk to everything, and there
are many restaurants, including two 4 star, within walking distance of the house.
There is easy freeway access for excursions to San Diego, just 10 minutes away Sea World is so
close you don't have use a freeway. See below for average driving times to various county locations.
Boogie boards, guitar, ukulele, boardgames, bicycle and cooler are available to help you have a fun
filled vacation.
