Cedar Lodge in Henderson Harbor

You will fall in love with Cedar Lodge, located in the picturesque village of Henderson Harbor on 150 feet of beautiful Lake Ontario waterfront. The cottage was originally built in 1892 and was totally remodeled in 2006 with all of the modern conveniences including wireless internet, cable television with DVR, telephone, fully equipped kitchen, etc. This cozy cottage has beautiful sunset and sunrise views from the breakfast room, front porch, and private beach house. There is a rock beach with gradual decline perfect for swimming, boating or just skipping rocks. Relax on the sundeck or in the unique beach house or play in the water using the single or double kayak or paddleboat that come with the cottage. Fish right off the dock or rent a charter and enjoy some of the best bass and walley fishing in the United States! Ride your bike or take a short 3 minute drive to the heart of Henderson Harbor. Use the gas grill to cook up the day's fresh catch or take a boat ride into town to enjoy dinner at a local restaurant. Roast marshmallows and make your own 'Smores using the fire pit in the private front yard. Whatever you pleasure, Cedar Lodge has it all!

Cedar Lodge is fully and comfortably furnished and has 3 bedrooms and a beach house. Bedroom one is located on the main floor and has a queen comfort memory foam bed, chest of drawers and a closet. Bedroom two is upstairs and has a double bed and an armoire. Bedroom 3 has two twin beds with a chest of drawers and a small balcony which overlooks the lake. The beach house has a futon which pulls out into a bed for sleeping should you decide to sleep "outdoors." Please bring your own linens (including sheets and towels.) The beach house is separate from the main house, giving its occupants a unique and private, waterfront getaway and the feeling of being on a boat.  Each bedroom has a ceiling fan and ample room for a crib, pack and play or inflatable mattress. The kitchen comes complete with everything: pots and pans, silverware, dishes, refrigerator and freezer, microwave, coffee maker, water cooler, etc. While eating in the breakfast room, you will have a beautiful view of the lake. The living room has cable television with DVR, DVD player, telephone and wireless internet. There is also cable television in the main floor and upstairs bedrooms. The sundeck has 2 comfortable lounge chairs and the patio has outside dining furniture and a gas grill. A single and double kayak as well as a paddleboat are provided. Lifejackets are provided for adults and children.

Enjoy swimming, boating, fishing, kayaking, jet-skiing, waterskiing (boats and equipment can be rented locally), or simply relax in a lounge chair and work on your tan! Sackets Harbor and Watertown are a short drive away (15 and 18 miles respectively) for more dining, shopping and entertainment choices. In Watertown you will find a shopping mall, good sized movie theatre,
Target, Walmart and many dining choices. Alexandria Bay, Clayton and The Thousand Islands are a short drive away (under an hour by car.) Antique shopping in Sackets Harbor or the Thousand Islands is a fun way to spend the day. Day trips can be taken to the Adirondack Mountains, Cooperstown (Baseball Hall of Fame), and Canada. Hiking and biking can be had in nearby Whele's Park.  Black Pond Beach is also just a few miles away and offers a beautiful, sandy beach great for lazy days and family picnics. Golf to your heart's delight at the 9 hole Bedford Creek Golf Course located between Henderson and Sackets Harbors. The Elms Golf Course (18 holes) is also located just minutes from Cedar Lodge. Inquire about chartering a fishing boat/guide with a local marina or fish right off the shore! You will love the relaxing, peaceful and private atmosphere of this special cottage.

Cedar Lodge is available in May, June, August, September and October. Weeks fill up quickly so book early!

Half of the rental fee will be collected at the time of reservation and the remainder will be collected 30 days prior to your move in date. A security deposit of $200 is due upon reservation and will be refunded within 30 days of departure barring any damages and/or long distance telephone
calls. Pets may be considered with an additional, non-refundable pet security fee of $100 per animal. If you cancel within 30 days of your arrival, you will forfeit your security deposit and any paid rental fees unless we can rent that week.

You will have a choice of bringing your own linens or having them provided for you for a $75 laundry fee.
