For summer visits, enjoy the adjacent outdoor pool or carry the clubs across the street to the pro shop at The Legend Golf Course (an Arnold Palmer design). There are five additional championship golf courses within 4 miles of this condo. On property hiking and biking trails are abundant (with bike rental at the lodge). All guests are welcome to use the private beach club on Lake Bellaire. Or launch your boat at the public access (2 miles) and enjoy the day on the chain of lakes.

Winter guests will have an abundance of skiing, snowboarding or tubing options at the Summit (2 block walk) or Schuss slopes (complimentary 3 mile shuttle). Some 50 different runs, 450 vertical feet of skiing and a run of 5,280 feet.  More than 30 Km of groomed cross country ski trails are accessed just across the street.  There are hundreds of miles of snowmobile trails (and snowmobile rental opportunities) just off property. Tubing park at adjacent Cedar River village.  But save some energy for one of the best sledding hills in all of northern Michigan, just off the back deck.

Guests are welcome to use the indoor pool (free) or fitness center (daily fee) at the main lodge (2 block walk).

Several restaurants, including Arnies Grill and the Lakeview Lounge are on property. Downtown Bellaire is a 2mile drive. The indoor minigolf and pizza parlor is a family favorite.

Shanty Creek is a convenient central location for day outings to Traverse City, Mackinac Island, Petosky / Harbor Springs area, or just about any northern Michigan location.
