Stonybrook in Chocorua

1830s era farm house, converted into a summer home in 1895. Surrounded
by a large field. Beyond the field there
are over 100 acres of beautiful woodland. One river and two brooks
flow through the property -- all very scenic.
Numerous hiking trails begin at the house. One hiking trail proceeds
for four miles up a spectacular mountain in the
White Mountain National Forest. A Nature Conservancy Preserve is about
a mile away on a lovely path. The house is
only a half mile from the highway and is the only house on the road.

The owners are the fourth generation to hold this treasure. In 1997
they completed a stunning remodel of the house.
The three oldest rooms have been redecorated to reflect early
twentieth century elegance. The large fireplace in the
living room is original and is fully functional. Kitchen is spacious
and is fully furnished.

Screened porch looks out on the field. Use the fully furnished
kitchen. Towels and linen are furnished as well. Well water.
Plenty of board games. This is a fully furnished summer home.

Swimming: public beach a mile away. Nearby summer theatre. Numerous
outlet stores are only 17 miles away. House is
within convenient driving distance of the Presidential Range, Crawford
Notch, Pinkham Notch, as well as the lake country
(Lake Winnepesauke).

Rates vary depending on month sought. August is the most sought after
time. September rates are lower than August
rates.
