Peaks cottage in Peaks Island

Wonderful cottage

My family of five stayed at this cottage for two weeks last summer. We could not have had a better time. The cottage is brand new so has many features some of the older cottages lack--like a washer/dryer for beach towels and a dishwasher. It is also clean, clean, clean! Our young kids loved the huge loft--they had the best views of all of us. The only complaint is that the downstairs bedrooms were a bit small--but they had queen sized beds,and storage under the beds--kid of like a sailboat-- so they were fine for us. We could hear the ocean at night when sitting on the deck and walk to it in seconds. There is a small pebble beach at the end of the road, perfect for my young kids. The neighbors had a kayak which we borrowed and launched right from the beach. It is a bit of a walk to the store--about 10 minutes, but we rode bikes and loved it. We are headed back next year.

Recommended for: age 55+, families with young children, families with teenagers, girls getaway, pet-friendly, sight seeing, romantic getaway
