Old Rag Mountain Cabin in Shenandoah

The cabin has a beautiful lake nearby. It is clean and the kitchen though small was well appointed. There's an antique oven which is fun and works well. I would warn a group of greater than 4 from booking this property. There's a master bedroom and a futton in the living room. The second room has 2 bunk beds which are not fit for sleeping. They creak with any movement. The people in next bedroom will hear every time you turn, and will not be able to sleep. This is no exaggeration, the construction of the bunkbed is peculiar, I have never in my life encountered a mattress that could make so much noise. The bedrooms do not have a full separate wall, there's about a 2 foot gap in the ceiling, so if you are a light sleeper this is not the right place for you.
I would recommend this only if you are planning on not using the second bedroom at all.
We did the Old Rag Hike and enjoyed, however our entire group is sleep deprived after staying here.
The positives, plenty of warm water, pipes worked well, heater worked well. We got a nice phone making sure we arrived safely and offering any help if needed.
