Hemlock Hill: Romantic Lakefront Cottage in Highlands

Hemlock Hill has a lovely view of the lake from its decks. A winding footpath leads from the
cottage to the lake's edge where guests will find a private dock on deep water that allows for great
swimming, fishing and boating. A canoe for exploring the lake and its waterfalls, and a hammock
that provides for peaceful reading and napping lakeside are also included.
The cottage is furnished with an air of rustic elegance and is a perfect romantic getaway for two,
but with its 3 bedrooms, 2 baths and a sleeping loft, it is equally ideal for the whole family.
The living room area features a stone fireplace, hardwood floors, vaulted ceilings and satellite
television. The first floor consists of the main living area, a bedroom with a queen bed, a full
bath, and a sleeping loft with twin beds. The loft is accessed by a wall ladder, so it is best saved
for children. The downstairs level has a bedroom with twin beds, a full bath, a laundry room and a
large master bedroom. The master bedroom includes a king bed, a sitting area, a wet bar and a

Hemlock Hill is equipped with air conditioning (You won't need it, Hemlock Hill pulls cool air off
of the lake.), washer & dryer, and a wood burning stone fireplace. All linens will be provided.
Satellite TV, DVD, VCR and a CD player are provided for those moments that you aren't busy enjoying
the natural abundance around you.
Hemlock Hill has large decks and seating/lounge areas on both levels--featuring stunning views of
the lake and the mountains around you. The Full Kitchen comes with all utensils, refrigerator,
dishwasher, gas range, microwave, toaster-oven, oven, ice-maker, etc., etc.. There is also a gas-
grill on the main-level deck.

In addition to the immediate opportunities for boating, jet-skiing, water-skiing, swimming,
sightseeing and fishing that the lake affords you, a ten minute drive into Cashiers or Highlands
gives you a myriad of restaurant choices of all sorts, as well as local shopping and antiquing. The
area also boasts a great many beautiful hiking trails and waterfalls, there's a reason some call the
area the 'Land of Waterfalls'. Nearby rivers offer some of the best whitewater in the country, with
commercial rafting companies available.
