Wonderful week in London

alicat78 (Ottawa, Ontario, Canada)
Review submitted: September 23, 2011   Date of arrival: September 9, 2011

My husband and I just spent a week in London in this flat, and it was perfect for two people! It had everything we needed, from laundry machines to a teapot that doesn't dribble. It was spotless when we arrived and check-in/check-out was a breeze. The chairs in the living room were so comfortable we napped in them several times. Bathroom was small but very well appointed, with wonderful towels. The wireless internet worked perfectly as well.

The stairs up to the flat are indeed very narrow and a little uneven, so you need to watch your step. Also, this is not a quiet neighbourhood, there are always people walking past chatting and frequent carspassing, but we didn't find it loud, just sort of background noise with the windows open.

The location was ideal, steps from Goodge and Charlotte Streets with excellent and diverse restaurants. The Green Man pub on nearby Riding House Street was our favourite! Five minutes' walk to two Tube stations will get you anywhere you want to go. We are already looking forward to coming back to this flat on a future vacation!

Wonderful Family Vacation

Marie (San Diego, California)
Review submitted: April 8, 2011   Date of arrival: April 1, 2011

My sons and I just returned from a 6 days trip from London. We had a wonderful time and this place served as a wonderful home away from home. The flat is located on a quiet, safe street. This was of great importance to me since I am a single mother and I was with my 2 teenage sons.
There were a number of restaurants and cafes within walking distance, along with Sainsbury and Tesco markets. Being near markets helped economize in a fairly expensive city.
The British Museum was within a 10 minute walk of the flat, along with a few tube stations, this made getting around London easy.
Working with Katia and Jackie was a pleasure...

Awesome

thedr9wningman (Portland, OR, USA)
Review submitted: December 7, 2010   Date of arrival: November 9, 2010

I stayed here in November and found the place to be excellent for my stay. My wife and I spent a week in this centrally-located flat and found that we could walk to Camden, Regent's Park, Oxford Circus, Piccadilly Circus, Covent Garden, even Buckingham (We're walkers). This flat is located off 2 or 3 tube stations and off many bus lines, including several on Euston Street to the north that includes convenient night buses (as well as the N2 Camden bus).

Everywhere you walk, you run into some place cool. There are little pubs in the neighbourhood, but it is mostly quiet at night. It was a safe neighbourhood, close to a college and was quaint, warm, and a fantastic place to stay. The English breakfast at the cafe downstairs was excellent and the neighbourhood has everything from Italian to Indian restaurants throughout.

Having laundry and a fridge was very nice to have and saved us money in cleaning (luggage fees are harsh) and in food (we could get groceries amongst any of the 3 groceries in the area). The bed was very soft and the heat worked the entire time, which made this the most comfortable place we stayed on our trip. There were enough blankets and pillows for the both of us, and a very nice closet for our clothes.

I was able to use the internet throughout my trip, and the owner was a pleasure to work with. She was communicative, got back to me in time, and was generally amenable to just about everything.

This would sleep a couple very well, but any more than that, I don't recommend it. If you have any disabilities, the narrow hallway and stairs leading up to the place would be difficult. At times, the upstairs neighbour's alarm clock would wake me, but I was struggling with jet lag much more than that minor inconvenience.

All in all, I highly recommend this place and if I were to stay in London again, I would try to book this place.
