Vacation Rental Description

Fully furnished, comfortable, three-bedroom, three-bathroom Condo is located in a beach front complex in  
Chicxulub, Yucatan, Mexico. 
 
The Condo is located about 10 minutes drive from Progresso and 35 minutes from the city of Merida and its  
international airport.  It’s about 4 hours from Cancun. 
 
It’s a great place to get away from it all.  Hang out by the pool, take a relaxing stroll down the sandy beach or  
curl up with a good book.

Vacation Rental Amenities

The unit is fully furnished.  The kitchen has microwave, gas stove, refrigerator/freezer, toaster, coffee maker,  
etc.  Television, Laundry (washer and drier), hot water heater.  A/C may be available for an additional charge  
(electricity is expensive in Mexico).  Parking for two cars.  Hooks for hammocks. 
 
One king-size bed and two full-sized beds, complete with bedding and linens.  
 
Well-maintained swimming pool. 
 
Balcony may be enclosed for relaxing when the breezes kick up in the afternoons. 
 
House cleaning service can be arranged for a reasonable rate.

Activities and Attractions

In the Yucatan you will find friendly people and a peaceful atmosphere.   The area has a great mix of local  
Mexican people, Canadians and Americans throughout the year. 
 
Swim in the pool, walk on the sandy beach and collect shells.  The Silcer Marina is just a few blocks away and  
has wind/kite surfing, sailing and other activities available.  
 
Fishing and snorkeling can be arranged in Chicxulub with local fishermen.  
 
Public transportation goes behind the condo.   
 
Nearby Progresso has number of restaurants offering seafood and typical Yucatecan cuisine, stores banks, etc.  
 
Uaymitun is a very close for seeing flamingos in the wild.  Or for an enjoyable day trip, Celestun boasts  
tremendous flocks of flamingos and other wild life.  Guided tours are available there for reasonable rates. 
 
Take day trips to the many Mayan ruins – Chichen Itza is a few hours away.   Other ruins, such as Uxmal, etc.  
are also not far.   
 
A number of old haciendas can be found within a short drive.  Some, such as Haciena Xcantun (on the way to  
Merida) have great restaurants and luxury spas (amazing massages). 
 
The nearby colonial city of Merida has many interesting cultural activities, theaters, shopping.  Free music and  
dancing in public squares can be found many evenings during the week.  A range of music and dances for all  
ages can be found.   
 
An 18-hole golf course is nearby (about a 30 minute drive).

September - May:   $275/week  or  $900 USD per month 
Christmas, Holy Week & Easter:   $500/week 
June, July, August:   $800/week  or  $2,000 USD per month
