Kona Pacific is one of Kailua's premier properties!! It's location is outstanding, just a half block
off of Alii Drive & the waterfront activities!! With complete elevator accessibility, professionally
manicured grounds and secured underground designated parking this is the place to stay!!! This lovely
vacation condo is almost 900 sq feet with a huge lanai. Sleeps 4-5 with California King in mstbdrm,
sleeper sofa in living area and puna on the private lanai. The condo features a sitting/desk area in
the master suite along with a private bathroom. A separate bathroom is located just off the kitchen
for quests if needed. The condo features high speed internet access, a fully equipped kitchen, and
all the accessories needed for a fun day at the beach!! Although the condo is within easy walking
distance (across the street) to beaches, shopping and restaurants it is very quiet and peaceful with

A Wonderful TIme!!!

This is our third visit and each trip is relaxing & delightful. As always it was nice exploring around the Big Island, but was equally as nice returning to the condo without losing the Hawaiian atmosphere. Don't ever change the decor its great, we even enjoyed on of the books from the "library" you provide!!

Roach motel

When we arrived to the condo, we were ready to relax after a long day of traveling. As soon as we walked in and turned on the kitchen lights tons of roaches began to scatter everywhere. They were all over the kitchen counters, walls, and floors. I was disgusted!!! When I walked into the master bathroom there were a few more there. They were on the sink and even the towels. I was ready to run out!!!! I had to go out and buy roach spray and even with that there were still some remaining.
When I was ready for bed and pulled the covers down I discovered blood stains on my pillowcase and on the comforter.
It's a shame that these issues weren't taken care of before we arrived because the apartment was comfortable and in a good location.

Recommended for: tourists without a car

Owners response: Kona Pacific is one of the premier condo complexes in Kailua-Kona as such they have a regular maintenance program in place to address tropic pests, including roaches. Despite their best efforts it is not possible to totally eliminate roaches especially in the hot summer months when roaches are looking for water. When you called to report the roaches I verified that the spraying had been done, having stayed in the condo just a few short weeks prior to your stay I too saw a few roaches scattering at night when the lights went on...nothing close to the number you indicated. After denying your request for a rate reduction you called back the next day with the "blood issue" again asking for a rate reduction. I immediately sent my cleaning crew over to the condo to check out this situation, finding all the pillow cases and comforters to be clean I again declined to adjust your weekly rate. However, since your stay I have updated the decor replacing the comforter and bed linens with new. I am sorry that you were not happy with your accommodations. Not being from Hawaii, perhaps you were unaware of the unique seasonal conditions inherent in the tropics. I hope you will give Hawaii a second chance as it really is a lovely destination!!!
