A warm welcome awaits you in our 1933 cozy cottage in the heart of
historic Austin. 

The Hancock Guest Cottage has everything you need for a relaxing
in-town getaway. The Hancock Guest Cottage offers old world character
combined with contemporary comfort and style. Located in central
Austin, it’s the ideal base for exploring town. 

The Cottage has been completely refurbished to provide an eclectic mix
of antiques, rustic furniture, and contemporary design in two
comfortable bedrooms plus a sun room downstairs. 

Hancock Guest Cottage is centrally located in the Hyde Park Hancock
area just minutes from Downtown, the University of Texas, the Medical
Center, and the the new Mueller shopping development.

Vacation Rental Amenities

Located in central Austin, it’s the ideal base for exploring town. You
can walk to the adjacent shopping center or down the block to regular
bus service with easy access to places of interest. 

There is so much to do in Austin, you will love it. After a day at the
lake or exploring town, come home to the tranquility of a BBQ in the
garden, or try one of the many fine local restaurants. 

Very cool, convenient, central neighborhood with lots of character and
conveniences--Hyde Park Bar and Grill, Mother’s Cafe, New World Deli,
Flight Path Cafe, Asti, Dolce Vita all within a few blocks. 

The Cottage has a 42" flat screen TV equipped with digital cable and DVD
player and features full Wi-Fi wireless.

Activities and Attractions

GOLF
The Hancock Guest Cottage is across the street from the oldest golf
course in Texas. The Hancock Golf Course is a 9 hole course created in
1899. 

DOWNTOWN
Visit the Capitol, 6th Street, Warehouse District, 2nd Street Design
District, Convention Center, Long Center for Performing Arts, Whole
Foods Headquarters Flagship Store, Town Lake Hike and Bike trail and
river for kayaking, and watch millions of bats.

UT CAMPUS
The UT campus has the Harry Ransom Center, Bass Performing Arts
Center, Blanton Museum of Art, President Lyndon B. Johnson's Library,
the UT Erwin Center.

SOUTH AUSTIN
South Austin sights include the South Congress SOCO District, Zilker
Park, Barton Springs Pool, Barton Springs Restaurant Row, and St.
Edward's University.

LIVE MUSIC
Austin is the Live Music Capital of the World, so come join us for
South By Southwest (SXSW), the Austin City Limits Festival, or for

Vacation Rental Rates

Cottage Downstairs Rates:
$350 per night, 2 night minimum

Cottage Last-Minute Super-Saver Rates:
Must reserve within 7 days of check-in, 2 night minimum.
$250 per night, 2 night minimum

Guest Nest Rates:
$150 per night, $700 per week, $1700 per month

1 week rate (seven days) = $1700 ($400 savings)
1 month rate = $4000 ($6500 savings)

SXSW full festival flat rate (ten nights) = $5000
ACL music festival flat rate (six nights) = $2000
XMAS/New Year's flat rate (six nights) = $2000
