Killashandra Cottage: The months of July and August are already reserved for 2013 but there is still time to schedule June or September dates. please check our calendar. />Summertime here will make lasting memories.  The classic 2007 built, beach home is located across the street, about 100 feet from the crimson sands of family friendly Chapman Beach. Water views of Long Island Sound from all rooms and the front porch. Chapman
Beach is quiet and private, a place families return to year after year.
Swim, snorkle, kayak or read "beach books" and  work on your tan. In the
evening take a stroll, bike or jog the beach roads or just sit in a
rocking chair on the front porch and wait for Daisy, "the ice cream
lady" to come by. Sound too quiet? You can find plenty of night life
here also. The casinos are a 30 minute drive away. Plus there are great
restaurants in the area, some like the "Gris" offer music and
entertainment.
In the "off-season" listen to the sounds of the
sea and enjoy the solitude of the beach. 

When summer is done, the Connecticut shoreline settles into the atmosphere of small  New England town.  It is a time when we can offer either a week or long week-ends for rent. it's a great spot  to paint, write or work alone, or to reminise with  college chums, or join up with friends for a  shopping week-end.

The local pubs are good places to meet old friends and
new. If you must leave for the day there is an Amtrak train station in town
providing easy access to NYC or Boston.
Killashandra Cottage is a nice place to stay anytime of year..

Central heat/air-conditioning, 3 bedroom home, 2 full baths plus private
outdoor shower, living room with fireplace and dining area, large
eat-in kitchen with granite counter-top island and five burner stove. Den
has a 42 inch cable/television with DVD player. WiFi available (seasonal).
Three bedrooms on 2nd floor; 1 queen size bed, 2 twin
beds, 1 full size bed. All bed & bath linens supplied, glassware and
china service for 8. There is a fully equipped kitchen,plus outdoor
grill and picnic table, lawn furniture and yard.
Parking space for 2 cars only.

There is much to do in this part of the Connecticut shoreline all year
round. The Mohegan Sun and Foxwoods casinos, the Mystic Seaport and
Aquarium are only 30-40 minutes away. Yale Rep Theatre, the Shubert
Theatre, the Goodspeed Opera House, the Ivoryton Playhouse and local
band concerts supply live entertainment. Nearby Clinton Crossing and
Westbrook shopping outlets have many premium stores. A public Golf
course is a 15 minutes drive away. Explore the heritage of the lower CT River valley.
Towns nearby: historic Old Saybrook, Old Lyme, Chester and Essex,
where you will find many excellent restaurants, quaint shops, antique
stores, fishing boat charters. For history & genealogy buffs there is
the museum and archives at the General William Hart House, as well as the famous
Florence Griswold Museum and gallery, the Old Lyme Art Academy and in
Essex the Connecticut River Museum. Plus the Katharine Hepburn
Cultural Arts Center in Old Saybrook.

Rates for 2012:

$2200/week from June through September; $1600/week or $300 per night, October through May.  Minimum stay: one week in Summer. Minimum stay: 2 nights from September to June.

Weekends available: September - June 1st.  Special: 2 nights/ 2 persons -$400.

Holiday rates apply to Thanksgiving, Christmas/New Year and Easter weeks.

Lease & $500 security deposit required.
