Villa Merli is situated in Valdichiana in the heart of Tuscany, in the valley just after the slopes  
of the medieval town of Cortona.  
• Villa Merli has 15 independent bedrooms (sleeps 30), 18 bathrooms of which 3 with Jacuzzi  
shower/sauna.  
• Immersed in a vast estate of 140 hectars, Villa Merli consists in an ancient farmhouse and a  
villa “leopoldina” dating back to the XVIIIth century, once belonging to an old Farm of the Grand  
Duke Leopold, protected by the order of the Knights of St. Stephen. 
• Visit the most interesting artistic sites of Tuscany and Umbria: Cortona with its Etruscan  
surroundings, Arezzo, Siena, Montepulciano, Pienza, Montalcino, Florence, Perugia and Assisi.

The villa 
• Villa Merli consists of a Farmhouse and a Leopodina (a name given to farmhouses built around the  
age of Grandduke Leopold in the 1700s) built in the 18th century as well as a large park featuring a  
stunning swimming-pool with whirlpool bath that will invite you to spend pleasant and relaxing hours  
in one of Tuscany’s most enchanting settings. 
• The villa is designed for you to enjoy an intense and unrepeatable experience, making you feel  
part of an environment where things have remained unchanged and the past seems to be brought back to  
life everyday in its charm and character.
