vacation rental description

May and September Low Rates   If your vacation time is flexible, these are two great months to vacation in Montana.  Rates are lower ($1500/wk), Yellowstone Park is less crowded, and temperatures are usually very comfortable.  Think about it!

This gorgeous home lets you in on some of the most splendid scenic views in the Paradise Valley. It is 2200 square feet of Montana-style comfort with plenty of life's little luxuries to help you feel right at home here in our corner of Paradise, while allowing you to enjoy the flavors of somewhere a little different.

You are very close to the Mighty Yellowstone, where whitewater rafting, fly-fishing or simply river floating are some of the most popular pastimes with locals and visitors alike. You'll find this a great spot to set out for your day's adventures in the Greater Yellowstone Area and a peaceful retreat at the end of the day.

This spacious-but-cozy cabin lies in the heart of the Paradise Valley. It's 4-bedrooms and 2-1/2 baths easily caters for 8-10 people, without feeling crowded in the space. The king-size master bedroom on the ground floor has an ensuite tiled bathroom with a deep soaker tub, separate shower
unit and tiled his-and-hers sinks.

Upstairs, the bedooms have queen or twin beds. The bunk room is small but private, has twin sized bunks and is an ideal space for kids and teens to hide out in. Luxury linens in all rooms go a long way to ensuring everyone has an excellent nights sleep. The open loft area has a full size futon for sleeping, and is a great spot for kids to hang out after a busy day
outdoors, with games, books, puzzles, and a "movie library" to choose from.

Your arrival is welcomed with a yummy basket of fresh organic home-baked muffins or Irish scones and jam! Drink in the views while you dine - The wall of windows in the dining area allows you to feast your eyes with scenic vistas in all directions - toward Emigrant Peak, down the valley to the Yellowstone River and westward to the Gallatin Mountains.
The dining table seats 8, and more can be accommodated at the breakfast bar. The well-equipped kitchen with bright stainless steel appliances is supplied with just about everything you need to create complete meals whenever your choose to eat in. There is a large pantry for storing food and other supplies for your visit.

Vaulted ceilings in the main living area expand the space, while the stone-surround gas fireplace keeps it warm and cozy. The large picture window frames an ever-changing view of the valley and the river. And for your evening-or-anytime entertainment we have satellite TV (upstairs and downstairs) with a DVD/VCR player and a varied selection of DVDs and movies for you to choose from.

The property is only 5 minutes easy drive from the Yellowstone River and from the highway, which to the south leads to Yellowstone Park - 30 minutes away. A few miles to the north lies the small town of Emigrant, where you can get most of your grocery needs in this well-stocked store. Famous Chico Hot Springs is very close by where you can soak in the hot mineral waters or dine at their wonderful gourmet restaurant.

We look forward to welcoming you! Come and be renewed in the peace and beauty of this wonderful Valley.

activities and attractions in Yellowstone Montana

If you like the great outdoors there's no shortage of things to do in the Paradise Valley. The
Yellowstone River alone offers many recreational opportunities, whether your passion is fly-fishing
for trout in the river itself or in the many spring creeks where fishing is allowed. The local
Dailey Lake Recreation area also offers fishing opportunities, and wind-surfers like to head up
there in the summer. If you prefer to really lay back you can just float the river in a raft, a
tube, or even a canoe. The more adventurous can try whitewater rafting on the River - guided trips
are available, or many kinds of craft are available for rent locally or in Gardiner.
Then of course, there is the awesome Yellowstone National Park, where you can go hiking and
backpacking, take scenic drives, take time out for wildlife viewing, photography, or stop for a
picnic and wait for Old Faithful to blow. Also in the Park is the "Boiling River" hot springs. Close
to the 45th Parallel, there is no additional charge to take a dip here. It's outdoors, of course,
with public bathrooms but no changing rooms. Really fun!
Nearer home is the Chico Hot Springs Resort and Day Spa. There are two large pools, one warm
and the other really hot. At Chico you can rent horses for trail riding, either short or long
trips. The Gourmet Restaurant is open evenings - reservations advised. They also do a great
Sunday Brunch.
The tiny town of Emigrant has some essential stores for travellers: a well-stocked grocery store,
gas station, fly-fishing shop, coffee shop, Restaurant, Post Office, Bank, Montana gift store. A few
miles up the road is the Moose Horn Gallery (Bronze art), with lots more art galleries in Livingston.
Shopping or dining with a broader selection is available in Bozeman, about 1 hours drive.
