This great family retreat sits on a large private lot with extensive water frontage - Gravois Arm (4+ mile marker)
and resides within the desirable Soap Creek Cove. This home, along with it's neighboring cabin (Little Oak) offer
ideal access to the water. The Wilderness home has an open floor plan (living, dining and kitchen area) with
three bedrooms, two baths upstairs. The owners fininshed remodeling the downstairs (Jan 2008) with a second
master suite (shower bath), media room, laundry area and game room with a ping pong table for the kids.
Once arriving to the home, you'll know that the Wilderness name fits perfectly with the exterior landscaping
theme and interior design of the home. When entering the home, you'll encounter lots of open living space. The
living room is spacious and comfortable with cable TV access. Next to the living room is the dining area with
seating for four. There is additional seating for four with the kitchen area breakfast bar. Down the hall are three
bedrooms. The first bedroom is designed for the kids with its rough pine bunks (full and twin). The second
bedroom is at the end of the hall and is equipped with a queen size bed. The master suite is spacious with its
bedroom furnishings and a king size bed. The master has private access to a large shower bath and the second
full size shower/tub bath is directly off the main hallway. Downstairs which is just off the kitchen and living room
is a lakefront family room and media center with surround sound, a second master suite with a queen size bed
and private shower bath. Just down the hall in a laundry room and large game room with a ping pong table.
The exterior of the house has been freshly landscaped to follow right along with the wilderness theme. Rock
boulders are positioned perfectly as you enter the property and large oaks shade the entire grassy lot for
everyone's enjoyment. There is a large outside deck that is accessible from either the living room or kitchen
entry. The deck takes in a great view of the cove and offers seating for four at the patio table and additional
casual seating for four next to the patio set. Downstairs offers covered access to a concrete patio and
additional seating for four. The owners are moving their remodeling projects outside to complete a martini patio
next to the water's edge. Expected completion of this project is Summer 2008. A short distance down the
sidewalk is a one well dock (10x24 ft slip) with a swim platform. The kids will certainly enjoy having easy access
to the water from the sandy beach - hard to find at the Lake of the Ozarks. The oversized lot is covered with
shade trees and has recently been excavated and reseeded to create a more comfortable and accessible
environment for the entire family. The owners have plans to upgrade the dock from a one slip dock to a two slip
dock with a nice sun deck and swim platform. The owners also plan on adding a martini deck next to the water's
edge in the coming months. What a great place to spend a vacation!
This 2,400 sq. ft. vacation rental is available year around and has several desirable features. They include
central heating/air, cable TV, DVD, ceiling fans, all bedding, dish towels and iron. The kitchen is fully stocked with
a granite counter-top, refrigerator, microwave, and dishwasher. There is plenty of room for two cooks and guest
can be entertained around the large breakfast bar (seating for 4). Other inclusions are weekly trash service,
plenty of open parking, and access to the home's lower level laundry room.
Homes are furnished for normal housekeeping with dishes, cookware, flatware, glasses, grills, and basic
appliances. Sofa sleepers are recommended for children’s use only and not that of adult usage. We are also
pleased to provide bed linens, bath towels, and a starter packet of detergents, bath soaps, trash bags and
paper products (toilet paper and paper towels). Please bring replacements for starter packet items, your own
beach towels, soaps, personal toiletries, coolers, cleaning supplies, camera, life jackets, etc
Guests staying in this home will enjoy a panoramic view of the Lake, wonderful sunrises and excellent fishing.
This home is 30-35 minutes away from the attractions on the "busy side" of the Lake - Bagnell Dam, Lake
Ozarks and Osage Beach - via the community bridge.
