Vacation Rental Description

This house is BEAUTIFUL, we've been told over and over that our online pictures do not give our home  
it's due. The saying "it's all in the details" can be respectively used to describe this fantastic  
rental property! Still not convinced? Give us a call, we can arrange a visit for you to see for  
yourself! 
 
Fall colors are winding down, but the Winter months are sure to please! 
 
Map out your own wine tasting tour by visiting the many nearby wineries. 
 
The Kal Haven hiking/biking trail is an easy ride from the cottage. This is a 32 mile trail that  
runs from South Haven to Kalamazoo.  
 
Once the snow begins to fall the activities begin to rise! Timber Ridge ski area is a short drive or  
snowmobile ride from the cottage and offers ski hills as well as a snowtube hill. Cross country ski  
or snowshoe on the Kal-Haven Trail. Go ice fishing right from your door.  
Enjoy an afternoon of ice skating at South Haven's beautiful skating pavillion.

We are just 10 minutes from South Haven and beautiful Lake Michigan, and just 2 hours from Chicago.   
This newly remodeled cottage can sleep 10-12 comfortably, its clean, rustic and fanciful decor will  
bring a smile to anyone's face.

Vacation Rental Amenities

Our cottage is located on a large, beautifully landscaped lakefront lot with plenty of space to  
stretch out.   
Enjoy the sandy beach that runs the width of the lot, sit by the campfire, roast marshmallows in the  
evening or set up a picnic lunch at the beach side table. 
 
 ~ Unique to our cottage is a PRIVATE DOCK WITH 12 PASSENGER PONTOON BOAT (photo above). This  
   pontoon boat allows you to explore the entire lake...load up the crew and take a leisurely  
   cruise. Also great as a fishing boat. 
 
 ~ Do you like to fish?  Saddle Lake is home to numerous fish species, try your luck at bass fishing  
   or go for the smaller species of pan fish, they are abundant...and tasty!  You can cast off from  
   the end of the dock or take out the 14' John boat and try your luck further out.  If you have   
   your own boat, the public launch is just around the corner PLUS our area is home to several  
   smaller lakes, offering equally impressive fishing opportunities. 
  
 ~ The deck overlooks Saddle Lake, has two outside tables, an extra fridge/freezer, large grill and 
   access to the master bedroom. 
 ~ The living room has a couch, 2 large chairs, cozy fireplace, television with satellite & DVD,  
   boardgames & puzzles, stereo system with CD changer and a nice slection of DVD movies. 
 ~ Fully equipped Kitchen includes Stove, Fridge, Micro, cookware, dishes, glasses, utensils,  
   coffee maker, toaster and other kitchen essentials to make you feel at home. 
 ~ Master bedroom overlooks Saddle Lake with a sliding glass door and balcony, flat screen  
   satellite TV/DVD player, large closet, the queen bed is a locally crafted log bed with matching  
   side tables. 
 ~ The Guest bedroom has a queen bed, large closet, stereo and desk. 
 ~ The "Kids Room" has 6 twin beds, large flat screen satellite TV/DVD player, makes a great  
   playroom for kids, many of our guests bring video game systems to play. 
 ~ The Downstairs bedroom has 2 twin beds, flatscreen satellite TV/DVD player, sliding glass door  
   leading to the Lake and an additional outside seating area, bathroom with shower and a foose ball  
   table. 
 ~ Touch screen TV remote controls throughout Cottage. 
 ~ Gas forced air heating, central air conditioning. 
 ~ Washer/Dryer and full bath upstairs! 
 ~ All bedding included! 
 ~ All bathroom and kitchen towels included! Please bring your own beach towels. 
 ~ 12 Passenger Pontoon Boat -INCLUDED!!!! 
 
~ The firepit comes with a nice stack of firewood free of charge, firewood is available (delivered  
and stacked at the pit for you) for an additional fee if more is wanted. 
~ We provide a propane grill but not the propane. You may bring your own tank or for a $20 fee we  
will have one at the grill for you.

toiletries or beach towels.

Activities and Attractions

~ Saddle Lake is a 300 acre all sports lake with plenty of room for personal watercraft, speed  
   boats, fishing boats, etc.   
 ~ The Kal-Haven trail is a 37 mile trail that runs from South Haven all the way to Kalamazoo!   
   This is a fantastic hiking and biking trail and is located one mile from the cottage. 
 ~ South Haven is a 10 minute drive away...enjoy a gorgeous sunset while walking the pier, or  
   grab an ice cream cone from Sherman Dairy, the downtown shops offer a wide variety of items  
   for everyone in your group, the nightlife is on going throughout the summer, the Farmer's  
   Market is a showcase of the many fruits, veggies, flowers and local recipes of the area,  
   movie theatre, parks, beaches, beachside skate park, many great restaurants and a Wal-Mart. 
 ~ Gas Station, Post Office, Cafe and Bait Shop a mile from the Cottage in Grand Junction. 
 ~ Saugatuck is a neighboring town with many activities, shops and restaurants. 
 ~ Crane's Pie Pantry is a short drive away, offering delicious homemade recipes, pies and a unique  
   atmosphere. 
 ~ Being in the "heart" of Blueberry Country means endless options of U-pick Farms...and if you 
   don't want to pick them, just about every farm offers them pre-packaged and ready to eat! YUM! 
 ~ Blueberry, Grape...even Cherry wine can be found at our area wineries. 
 ~ Fishing charters on Lake Michigan 
 ~ Canoeing 
 ~ Kids Corner playground overlooking Lake Michigan 
 ~ June's Harborfest is the "Kick Off" to summer in South Haven, live bands, euchre tournament, Arts 
   & Crafts Fair, dragon boat racing, the list goes on!

   Nightlife, many activities for families of all ages! 
 ~ The National Blueberry Festival is a local FAVORITE!!!  This is a 4 day festival with numerous  
   daily activities all over town, parade, live music, carnival for kids along the river...I can go  
   on and on! 
             
There is always something going on to keep you and your group busy, but if busy is the LAST thing on  
your mind...no worries, our cottage is peaceful and clean with luxury amenities to satisfy!!

Vacation Rental Rates

Off Season/Winter: September 1, 2008 through May 23, 2009; $150/night $1,000 weekly 
 
Weekly Rentals are Sunday to Sunday.  Check-in at 5pm  Check-out at 10am 
 
Summer Rates: May 24, 2009 through September 13, 2009; Weekly rentals at $2,500 weekly. 
Exception May 31, 2009 through June 7, 2009; $2,000 weekly 
Exception 4th of July: June 28, 2009 through July 5, 2009; $3,000 weekly. 
Exception Blueberry Festival: August 9 -16, 2009; $3,000 weekly. 
 
50% of the rental fee plus a $500 security deposit is due at booking to hold your reservation.  The  
remaining 50% of the rental fee is due 30-days prior to your reservation date.  The security deposit  
will be returned within 10 days after cleaning. 
 
Should cancellation be necessary, we charge a $100 fee.  If the cottage can be rebooked for that  
week all funds will be retunred less the $100 fee.  If the cottage cannot be rebooked, all funds  
paid will be forfieted less the security deposit. 
 
This is a smoke-free cottage.  Sorry, No Pets.
