Welcome to Hartwell Lake Escape!  Our spacious home features all of the amenities you expect in a luxury lake house – we’ve thought of everything, so all you need to do is relax and enjoy! The main level of the house boasts a large Great Room with hardwood floors, wood-burning fireplace, vaulted ceiling, and a 42” LCD TV.  The adjoining Kitchen and Dining Area features hardwood floors, granite countertops, and bar and table seating for up to 12!  The Master Suite invites relaxation with a pillow-top queen bed and awesome bath with Jacuzzi tub, double sinks with granite counter tops and separate walk-in shower.  There is a spacious second bedroom with a queen bed and private full bath.  Step out the of the Great Room and Dining Area to a beautiful screened Deck with a gorgeous stacked stone fireplace, vaulted ceiling and ceiling fan – morning or evening, it’s a favorite place to relax!

Take the staircase from the Great Room down to the Den and lower level, where you will find another 42” Plasma TV (the kids can watch a movie or play video games here while the adults relax upstairs!).  A Game Room features foosball, dual basketball, wall mount LCD TV, and bar & table seating.  The “Bunk Room” with two twin trundle beds includes another TV, PS2, DVD player and a private full bath.  The fourth bedroom features lake views, another pillow-top queen bed, linens and a large private full bath.  There is also a queen sleeper-sofa in the Den.  French doors in the Den open to a spacious covered Deck with plenty of seating! Catching breezes all day, it’s a favorite hang out!

Follow the gently sloped, lighted path to our large dock on a quiet deep-water cove. The lighted covered dock features a spacious sun deck with swim ladder and seating.  Our home comes equipped with two stable lake kayaks, plus water floats & toys and life jackets for our guests! Very limited boat traffic makes the cove perfect for the kids (and adults) to swim, kayak, and fish.

Bring your boat (or rent one!) to enjoy water skiing, wakeboarding, tubing, fishing & sunset cruises!  With several boat ramps minutes from the house, launching your boat and starting your vacation has never been easier!   Our prime location is minutes by water from Harbor Light Marina for fuel, supplies - and boat rentals!

Take a break from the sun and fun of the lake to explore the area!  Historic Hartwell is less than 15 minutes away with shopping, dining and award-winning Cateechee Golf Club.  In about an hour you can be in the mountains hiking to waterfalls, white-water rafting, river tubing, horseback riding, or even trout fishing!

Table and bar seating comfortably accommodates up to 12.
High chair is available for our youngest guests.

Upper level Deck has bistro table & chairs.

Spacious covered lake level Deck has pub table & lots of seating and is steps away from a relaxing hammock under the trees - no better place for an afternoon nap!

Lake Hartwell:
Beautiful Lake Hartwell is one of the largest & most visited lakes in the southeast! Situated on the Georgia/South Carolina border, Hartwell offers visitors over 960 miles of shoreline and covers nearly 56,000 acres.
Hartwell is a premiere fishing destination and was the site of the prestigious 2008 Bassmaster Classic tournament. Fish for largemouth bass, crappie, catfish, bream or one of those record-breaking striped bass (a 59.6 lb striper set the record here in 2002). Ready to fish? It's easy to arrange a boat rental at one of the nearby marinas or a professionally-guided fishing trip!
If watersports are your thing, Hartwell offers it all! Enjoy boating, water-skiing & wakeboarding, tubing, sailing, or jet-skiing in the sparkling waters - or drop anchor in a quiet cove for swimming, sunning & relaxing on sandy beaches!

Surrounding Area Activities:
If you want a break from the sun and fun of the lake, hop in your car and head to the cool Georgia or South Carolina Mountains! Visitors can enjoy hiking, gorgeous waterfalls, trout fishing, tubing or white-water rafting, horseback riding - or just a relaxing scenic drive. Venture out to the quaint area towns for fun restaurants, antiques, shopping, golf, wine-tasting, fun dining - or just to take a walk on Hartwell Dam!
