With both wood and oil heat available, you'll sleep soundly in the two private bedrooms on queen
size beds. The living room also offers a queen size sleeper sofa and love seat peering over
excellent views of Willow Creek, the foliage, and wildlife.
The full bathroom and washer/dryer will make your extended stay away from home as comfortable as
possible, and with paved access all the way to the driveway, groceries and other accommodations in
Willow are close by to meet your needs.
Alaska's long and beautiful days make summer a wonderful experience. The large northern windows
overlook Willow Creek, and you can see Mt. McKinley from the east end of the 27 acres and the
Talkeetna mountains up the road a bit from the house. Just 3 miles up the road from the house, as
the elevation begins to climb, there's a high vantage point that overlooks all of Willow Valley and
the Alaska Range, including McKinley, Hunter, and Foraker.

This Alaska Vacation Rental is located on Willow Fishhook Rd, in the Matanuska-Susitna Valley,
nestled in the foothills of the beautiful Talkeetna Mountains. At different vantage points in
Willow, there are views of Sleeping Lady Mtn, Mt. McKinley, and the Talkeetna Mountain Range.
Willow has many lakes, streams, rivers and mountains. Wildlife in the Willow area include moose,
bear, wolf, coyote, fox, lynx, eagle, osprey, owls and many other bird species. Wolves and lynx are
very elusive. There's a large eagle's nest on the property which is inhabited by two eagles in the
summer.
Willow is known for its excellent opportunities: fishing, hiking, rafting, kayaking, canoeing,
fly-in fishing, scenic flights, bike trails, hunting, dog sledding, snowmachining and cross country
skiing.
This home sits on 27 acres with frontage to Willow Creek, known for its rainbow fishing and
spawning grounds for several species of salmon. Parts of Willow Creek are calm and parts have Class
2 rapids. When you step out the door of this lovely home, you'll enjoy the sound of the rushing
waters. This is a fresh water stream, not glacier fed. The headwaters of Willow Creek are located
in the Talkeetna Mountains. This property is very private, yet easily accessible from paved Willow
Fishhook Rd.
Just a few miles up the road from the Inn is the entrance into Hatcher Pass,known for its active
Gold Mining Operations, Historic Independence Mine, excellent Berry Picking, Hiking Terrain and
Trails. You'll enjoy visiting and dining at Mother Lode Lodge.
We're located 76 miles north of Anchorage, 30 miles north of Wasilla, and 48 miles south of
Talkeetna, which is famed for it's shops and is the starting point for mountain climbers on Mt.
McKinley.
If you're flying into Anchorage, rent a car and head this way. You'll enjoy the small town of
Willow and its surrounding area with all of its beauty, wildlife, and recreational opportunities!
