Upscale, stylish quarters, just steps from the vibrant George Street, Mile One Stadium, the eclectic
Rooms Complex, Law Courts, St. John's City Hall, Government House from the days when Newfoundland
was an independent country, and our Provincial Archives. Halfway between Hotels Fairmont
Newfoundland and Delta Conference Center and two blocks up from the Harbor.

We also offer alternative accommodations ranging from fully furnished luxury homes and apartment
units as well as upscale hostel type accommodations.

Sleep tight in our rooms reconstructed with sound retardant materials featuring enhanced mattresses,
black-out drapes, variable lighting levels and glow lamp alarm clocks.

We try to provide bedrooms that give out guests the feeling of comfort, security and well-being. As
soon as people are far away from home, in a space where they might feel vulnerable, they need a
sense of security and comfort. A bigger bed makes people feel more comfortable and secure so most of
our beds are king size. Many of our rooms have sleigh beds, pillow-top mattresses, larger desks,
ergonomic chairs, enhanced bathroom lighting, framed mirrors and high quality local art and better
fabrics throughout. Our customers told us they wanted a bedroom that felt more like a private home
and to be comfortable and secure while maintaining cleanliness.

Security - Each of our properties has live in support staff

Cleanliness - Extra efforts are made to keep our bedrooms a cut above normal cleanliness
Transportation - Airport shuttle service can be arranged.

Simplification - We provide express check-in and checkout. Your bill is in your arrival package and
you simply tell us how you wish to make payment.

Business Services - We can offer a full range of business services and route faxes to your laptop.

Creature Comforts - Our rooms have full-length mirrors, make up mirrors and hair dryers. A wide
diversity of restaurants are within two blocks of our properties from Ches's Fish and Chips to
Bianca's fine dining.

Ambience - Hopefully we have created the ambience of a small boutique hotel while maintaining our
own distinctive decor.

Perks - Frequent guests are automatically upgraded to our suites.

We are dead center in the Historic Properties enclave under the towering Basilica of St. John's the
Baptist and the adjacent Room Complex. Immerse yourself in our culture at Newfoundland and
Labrador's newest public cultural space. It's the place where it all comes together-our history,
heritage and artistic expression. The Rooms unites the Provincial Museum, the Provincial Art Gallery
and the Provincial Archives under one roof. The Rooms is a portal to the many stories our province
has to tell.

Soaring into the skyline of historic St. John’s, The Rooms combines twenty-first century technology
with a striking visual reference to our past. Its unique design mirrors the "fishing rooms" where
families came together to process their catch. In them, you'll find collections, exhibits and
programs that tell our stories and interpret our natural world through art, artifacts, archaeology,
architecture and archival records. Precision environmental controls and a state-of-the-art security
system allow The Rooms to safeguard these treasures and bring in traveling exhibits that showcase
the best the world has to offer.

Come for the view. The Rooms offers panoramic vistas of St. John's and its harbor, a multi-level
atrium serves as both a gathering place and space for constantly changing exhibits and events. A
multi-media theatre, classrooms and artist-in-residence studio emphasize The Rooms' adaptability to
many uses and the role in plays in education and outreach. As a centre for research, the Rooms
provide access to its permanent collections by appointment. The theatre and corporate boardrooms can
be rented for a variety of events.

The oldest protestant church in North America, St. Thomas Anglican Church is just down the street
from us at the corner of Military and King’s Bridge Roads; it originally served the members of the
British Garrison at Fort William, which stood at the nearby site now occupied by the Fairmont
Newfoundland. A striking black wooden building opened in 1836, St. Thomas Anglican Church is the
oldest church in St. John's.
