Vacation Rental Description

Once in a Blue Moon will you find a place as wonderful as Vashon Island or a beach house as inviting  
as the Blue Moon at Manzanita.  Located on the southern tip of Maury Island the bright blue house  
has long been a marker for fishermen and boaters.  The beach with its shells. beach glass, driftwood  
and agates is a favorite with visitors and locals alike.  At one time a picnic detination for folks  
from the Tacome Yacht Club, later a small fishing community, it still retains that feel.  The front  
deck is no more than fifty feet from the waters of Outer Quartermaster Harbor. Sit back and relax as  
you watch the sunset over Vashon Island.

Vacation Rental Amenities

The beach house has two bedrooms.  One with a double bed the other with three twin beds. There is a  
daybed and sofa in the livingroom for additional guests.  There is a half bath and three quarter bath 
(with shower) in the bedroom wing.  The livingroom has french doors leading to the more secluded  
back deck with a picnic table, deck chairs and barbeque.  The kitchen/dining area is large enough for 
several cooks and those who prefer to watch others make great meals.  It is equiped with a dishwasher 
stove, side by side refridgerator with icemaker and trash compactor. There is also a washer and  
dryer. The kitchen has everything from a toaster to espresso maker and internet access.  All linens  
are provided except beach towels. This is also a non-smoking retreat.

Activities and Attractions

There is a plethora of things to do on the islands. Visit Point Robinson light house on Maury Island  
stroll the town of Vashon with it's great shopping (my favorite is the Vashon Pharmacy).  Don't let  
the name fool you, their gift buyer has supurb taste in gifts.  The Island Theater is a kick to see  
if only for it's art-deco murals.  There is the Island Strawberry Festival, tour of homes, garden 
tour, art studio tour, and Lavender Festival.  There will be printed information at the house and  
we can give you more information about activities when you make your repervations.   
If you have a canoe, kayak, boat or bike bring it along.  Check the tides and water quality if you 
want to dig clams or fish.  A walk on the beach or relaxing with a book are the ultimate pasttimes.

Vacation Rental Rates

Rates are as follow:  May 1 - October 30 (Summer)............$200.00 per night for 4 people or less  
                      Weekly/Summer..........................$1200.00 for 4 people or less 
 
                      November 1 - April 30 (Winter).........$150.00 per night for 4 people or less 
                      Weekly/Winter..........................$900.00 for 4 people or less 
        
                      Holiday rates..........................$225.00 per night for 4 people or less 
                      (New Years, Presidents' weekend, Easter, Thanksgiving, Christmas) 
                      Additional people anytime..............$15.00 per person. 
 
                      Summer and holidays - Three (3) nights minimum.  Winter - Two (2) nights  
                      minimum. 
 
Damage/Security Deposit:  $200.00 which includes a $65.00 cleaning fee.  If you leave the place as  
you found it upon your arrival the cleaning fee will be refunded. 
 
Cancelation Policy:  Up to 30 days prior to rental dates full refund.  Less than 30 days the deposit  
will not be refunded unless we are able to re-rent for the period.  Every attempt will be made to re- 
rent. Should that occur all but $100.00 will be refunded.
