Across the street from Carmel Beach, the historic Stern House combines Carmel charm with a fabulous 
in town location. Placed on a double corner lot with two car garage, it was built in 1939 as Lucie 
Stern’s beach house. Mrs. Stern was a very active bay area philanthropist well known to Stanford 
Alumni. The main house features splendid ocean views, Venetian Chandeliers and mirrors, four 
bedrooms and four baths, a covered outdoor dining area, two stone fireplaces, a wide ocean view 
front porch and updated gourmet kitchen with Sub Zero and Wolf gas range. The private two room guest 
house has Venetian Chandeliers, two twin beds, a flat screen TV and kitchenette. Both the main house 
and guest house are finished with white board and bat walls and wooden ceilings with classic 
furnishings to match. 

The Stern house welcomes you to an authentic and elegant beach front Carmel experience.
