Beach Cottages are Fun,Pets Ok, Steps to Beach in Clearwater Beach

Beach Cottages are a charming group of 10 beach cottages built in 1920 located about 200 to 350 steps (yards) from the sand or the third or forth house from the beach . Families have enjoyed these cottages for almost 100 years. These are the only real cottages (little houses)  left in Clearwater Beach on the beach side of Mandalay Ave (not a room in a house called a cottage)  There are only high rise building directly on the beach, but these cottages are on the beach side of the street and very close to the sand. There is a Gazebo and two  BBQ grills  in the large back yard. The cottages are clean and the linens and towels are new .They have bamboo wood floors or white tile in all the rooms. Most with new bathrooms with new tubs and shower wall, vanities and sinks, new toilets, and all freshly painted. All Cottages have  a new Bath Tub and Shower, except the Corner Cottage which  has the origonal "cracked tile" shower. Most cottages are 4-5 times the size of other cottage rentals in Clearwater Beach, many of which are rooms in a large house. Most of our cottages are real houses, we call cottages (New Orleans Beach Apartment, Pineapple Cottage, and Hideaway 3 bedroom are in one 3000 square foot Building).

 Sit on your porch relax,  step outside andwatch the sunset or sit in the large front yard  at the Grandview Cottage on  Mandalay Ave.  10  minute walk (7 blocks)  to restuarants, Famous Pier 60 for free nightime entertainment,  and large childrens playground on the beach.  Angelo's Pizza, a family take out   
Restuarant right  across the steet.  The Beach Cottages have Queen size beds, the three bedroom Hideaway has a Kingsize bed, most mattresses are new Beautyrest Posturpedic Orthopedic Firm or Plush.  Designer comforters and drapes. They have island style beachy furniture . Cute and artsy. There is a 3 bedroom large cottage call the Tommy Bahama with a filtered view of the  Gulf from the rear porch. It features all Tommy Bahama  Island style furniture, ceiling fans all rooms, Central airconditioning or 3 cold airconditions in each cottage.
Flat LCD color TV with cable in living room and bedrooms.  hardwood floors and very large new kitchen. This corner house requires you to walk past three other cottages to access the backyard, or walk past three houses and your on the Gulf of Mexico. It feature a small front and rear sitting porch with a filtered view of the beach and Gulf of Mexico. Like your own Bed and Breakfast. It is a corner house at 644 Mandalay Ave. Grandview  one bedroom large cottage at 638 Mandalay Ave. has large kitchen with french Windows wrap around the large spacious kitchen. Central Airconditioning. Complete new bath tub, walls, vanity, and remodeled. This is a large one bedroom house with front yard and wood decks that overlook Mandalay Ave.  

The Corner Cottage is a cute one bedroom cottage that you see in the picture, This cottage is the yellow cottage in the first photo  with green roof. The second photo is the large kitchen and breakfast area. The other pictures are of the other cottages we have.  The Corner Cottage is remodeled on the corner of Glendale  and Mandalay Ave, the fifth house from the sand, with high vaulted ceilings and wood beams. Has queen size sofa bed  in living room and feels spacious with windows all around. White tile floors. Queen bed. Origonal tile shower, no tub.  Two TVs. DVD, VCR, CD stereo. Two airconditioner units and 3 ceiling fans.

The Hideaway three bedroom has 4 beds, a King Size Beautyrest extra Firm Matress, and is 1500 square feet. You'll feel like a king here. Great for large families. Sleeps 7, but up to 9 with pull out sofabed. Location is 640 Mandalay Ave. 

The Dolpin two bedroom cottage at 28 Glendale Ave has one twin bed in porch room, Sofabed  i n living room, Queen bed in master with wood floors, full kitchen. Forth house from the sand . Key West island furniture and decorating. Rear wood deck off kitchen overlooking back yard. The Dolphin Cottage and Gulfside Cottage is the pink duplex with green roof 200 steps to the beach.  Read suggestion for great beach vacation.

We suggest well heeled travelers who require upscale amenities and perfection book at the Sandpearl and Hilton Hotel just 3 blocks over, as these are 100 year old cottages and cannot cater to picky, fussy, guests.  Fun loving families with kids and pets who don't mind getting some sand on the floor will enjoy the same beach for half the price and avoid the extra charges for towels, beach chair use, , added gratities, parking $20 day, resort fee. Pizza Restuarant  Shipwreck Bar short walk across the street on Mandalay Ave. The Beach Cottages are in the North End  of Clearwater Beach and close to everything. . A free park with playground, BBQ grill .bocci courts across street ,2 blocks over. Olympic size swimming pool, childrens pool with fountains, with life guard, changing room, showers, basketball, tennis, new air conditioned excercise center and recreation center with library and boat ramp are across the steet,  3 blocks walk.  They even offer childrens drop off . ($2.00 daily entreance fee when you show reciept that you are a hotel guest here, for children.  We provide beach chairs, towels, fishing poles, paper goods and concierge service to assist with all your vacation needs. Your cottage upon arrival will be impecably clean with new clean fresh bed linens.  Daily maid and towel service not provided, but upon written request will be provided at prevailing hotel fee. The Jolley Trolley $1.50 stops in front of the Cottages and brings you everywhere in Clearwater Beach, downtown Clearwater, all the beaches down to St. Petersburg, runs every 30  minutes. From the Cottages   you can walk to almost everything .
Wifi is located in the Dolphin Cottage (linksys), and Tommy Bahama House(Belkin), no security code. 
Bicycle and  motor scooters available to rent / reservations suggested. 24 hour support and assistance from our staff. We dont just leave the keys at the office, we turn on the aircondition, leave the lights on at night, and help you have a great beach  vacation.

All of  Clearwater South Beach is wifi on the beach.  Use of our guest computer and complete business office is also  permitted to check your email, etc. at the Bluewavemotel.    Paper goods provided at no charge.  These are nice family or romantic gettaway cottages. Unruly behavior (public intoxication) loud noise after 11:00 pm or congregating in the back yard after 10:00 pm, inviting unregistered  guests without  permission,may result in eviction and forfiet of all fees paid. The Cottages are for people who want to just have fun at the beach.

Guests return to the Beach Cottages for the true beach experience. Wake up , walk along the beach, Laid back family atmosphere, no need to dress up here.

This can be your small private home while away from home.  Registation, housekeeping, wifi and suppport staff are at the blue wave motel, a few blocks away. Pet fee $50 per stay

Additional person $10 per day, which may include roll away bed , includes towels and linens, if more than 7 Guests.

Free use of beach chairs, fishing poles, cribs, high chairs, hair dryers, irons and other  things you may need and we can supply. We do not charge for parking one care in our private parking area. Boat and RV parking no charge for guests who stay 3 days. 

Two Bedroom Cottage add $200 to above rates, sleeps 5   (Dolpin, Gulfside, Pineapple Cottages  28 Glendale Ave )  Three Bedroom Cottage add $300 to above rates, sleeps 7 (Hideaway Cottage, 4 beds, Kingsize bed, pull out sofa bed, 3 bedroom, oversized washer and dryer, very large  640 Mandalay Ave. )

Pets are welcome in some cottages. There is a pet sanitation fee of $50. The cleaning fee is $75 for all cottages for any stay and includes fresh towels and lines.

Our Policies:
The Cottages are impeccably clean upon arrival, freshly painted each season and will be a pleasure for you to enjoy. You agree upon departure that the cottage will look the same as when you arrived. You agree to put all trash in the outside garbage pails  near  the Corner Cottage, wash all dishes and  put them away, leave all furniture in the place it was upon arrival, put all used towels in the bathtub, and leave beds unmade. Remove any linens from the sofa bed. You agree not to take any towels or comforters to the beach.  You may request a departure walk through otherwise  additional cleaning charges may applyif the rules are not followed. Please make sure your guest do not pack up our towels and TV remotes.    Although we cannot be responsible for your choice of cottage, we will provide another cottage, hotel, or condo to meet your vacation needs, if available and you notify the owner with 60 minutes of your arrival and at the discretion of the owner. If  anything is missing, broken or not up to your expectations, we expect you to notify us immediatley so we can fix the problem,  We reserve the right  substitute a cottage if an agency double books during busy season,(except the Tommy Bahama House) If your vacation plans change we will credit your deposit to your next reservation at any of our resorts for 12 months except Holidays, Events, and month of  March (no refunds for any reason in March or holidays) . Full refund if cancelled  within 45 days of booking less $25.00 bookeeping fee and any credit card charges that we incur.except month of March. There can be no refunds for reservations made in Peak Season.    We prefer happy and satisfied repeat guests and may offer you a credit for future stay.

 Once you check in you are responsible for the full amount of your stay . If you check in after your reservation date or check out prior to the end of your reservation for any reason including, its raining, its too cold to swim, jelly fish, hurricane, kids are bored, parents are bored, want to go to Disney World,  noise, whatever, generally there is no refund.
