Vacation Rental Description

Lakefront Cottage with Sandy Beach (not across the street, not 
channel front) - located between Kalamazoo's premier Gull Lake and 
popular Gun Lake.  A huge 735-acre lake which is all-sports, but LOW 
TRAFFIC!!

Why not enjoy a springtime getaway, a traditional family summer week 
at the lake or an autumn color escape?

This tasteful and delightfully furnished, lakefront cottage is 
equipped with all the luxuries of home!  It features a large deck 
overlooking a sprawling Crooked Lake, equipped with patio 
furniture, gas grill, private dock, a bonfire pit, 45 feet of sandy 
lake frontage and much more.  

Vacation Rental Amenities

This three-bedroom/two bath house sleeps up to 9 people with a 
bunkhouse available at an additional charge which sleeps 4-6 
additional people.  (The main cottage has a queen bed in two 
bedrooms, a double-bed bunk-bed in the third bedroom and two full-
sized couches in the living room.)  The fully-equipped kitchen has a 
stove/oven, dishwasher, microwave, refrigerator/freezer, pots/pans, 
dinnerware, cutlery, glassware, coffeemaker, toaster and lots of 
utensils and knick-knacks not usually found in a vacation cottage.

Additional amenities include air conditioning, fireplace, forced-
air heating, color television, washer & dryer, VCR/DVD player, 
stereo/cd player, clock radios, games, books (Delton Library is a 
couple blocks away).  Outside amenities include a gas grill, 5-
person pedal boat and a 12' fishing boat.

Activities and Attractions

There are 6 golf courses within 10 miles (15 courses with 20 
miles).  The Village of Delton is walking distance from the cottage 
for easy access to restaurants, cocktail lounges (Tujax and Pete's), 
ice cream parlors, pizzeria's (Sajo's), a Felpausch grocery store 
and a Shell station.  The Bernard Historical Museum is also located 
on the North end of the Lake for those who have an interest in 
Delton history.

Area activities including fantastic fishing, swimming, 
boating/waterskiing, hunting, snowmobiling and downhill skiing 
(Bittersweet Ski Resort and Timberidge Ski Resort are located within 
15 miles).  If you're looking to try out your larger cabin cuddy or 
sailboat, the public access for Gull Lake - one of the largest and 
deepest inland lakes in Michigan, is located just 5-minutes to the 
South on M-43.

The cottage is conveniently located on a 735-acre quiet lake with 
the lowest boat-utilization of the larger inland lakes in the West 
Michigan.  Its also an easy 30-minute drive to downtown Grand 
Rapids or Kalamazoo, and its centrally located between Hastings 
(Barry County seat - 18 miles northeast), Plainwell (18 miles 
southwest) and Richland (bedroom community of Kalamazoo - 10 miles 
south) on M-43 providing access to everything from bowling, skating, 
horseback riding, theatres, museums, festivals and MUCH MUCH MORE!!

Vacation Rental Rates

May 24, 2008 - Sept 6, 2008:  

$1650/week peak season
$450/week additional for bunkhouse (sleeps another 4 - 6)
$2100/week - July 4 Holiday week (includes bunkhouse)

*Pets may be permitted with additional charge of $75.00 for cleaning.
**Pontoon rental available for $700/week (M-F) or $150/day.
***Weekly rentals are from Saturday to Saturday.  Check-in is 
anytime after 5pm and checkout is 10am.  Non-refundable 50% advanced 
rent payment is required.  Up to 9 guests with main cottage and up 
to 
13-15 with bunkhouse.
