Vacation Rental Description

You will be hard pressed to find a better beach vacation value than this! If you are looking for a  
quiet, low traffic vacation spot, this is it!  Wake up to quiet mornings, nestled on the top floor  
(3rd)  amongst grand oaks in view of the ocean and earshot of the rolling surf. This is a place for  
your family; it is a place your children will love.   
 
This 3BR-2BA condo sleeps 6-8  at Pleasure Island’s premiere seaside resort, Ocean Dunes. It is just  
across the street from the ocean and adjacent to tennis courts, recreation center with an indoor  
pool, tennis courts and playground. This unit is equipped all appliances (microwave, washer/dryer,  
dishwasher, coffee maker, toaster) and is ready for your comfortable and cozy beach get away. Bed  
sizes include 1 queen, 1 double and 2 twins. In July, this unit will be equipped with an elevator  
and an outdoor garden pool in view of our front deck.

Activities and Attractions

You can grill outdoors and relax under the outdoor gazebo adjacent to multiple outdoor pools just  
off the beach. You're within an easy walk/bike ride to the Fort Fisher Historic Site, North  
Carolina Aquarium, Kure Beach Fishing Pier or a ferry waiting to float you to historic Southport.   
Spend the day just relaxing, surf fishing or exploring the only natural coquina outcropping of rock  
on the coast of North Carolina where you can find a variety of marine life and which makes an  
excellent backdrop for memorable family photos.  These rocks are home to a variety of marine life  
such as starfish, whelks and sand dollars.  If you enjoy surf fishing, the local fisherman claim  
this section of beach to be the best on the island.  Historic downtown Wilmington is only 20 minutes  
away where you can visit a variety of places including antique shops, fantastic seafood restaurants,  
eclectic boutiques, specialty museums, botanical gardens and historic mansions.  Other local  
activities include, scuba diving off shore wrecks teeming with marine life, deep sea fishing,  
golfing, tennis, state parks. If you prefer to venture further, Myrtle Beach is only a 90-minute  
drive.   Ocean Dunes and Pleasure Island has something to offer everyone. We look forward to having
