Summer Escape

bolearski (Bristol, CT USA)
Review submitted: August 19, 2010   Date of arrival: August 4, 2010

Brian, Jen & Brandon / From Bristol CT

This is our third year renting the camp on Sebec Lake. You will enjoy every part of your stay from when you first wake up and look at the sun rising up over a calm lake, to sitting around a stone fireplace listing to the loons talk all night. There is a nice little front yard for playing wiffle ball, throwing the frisbee, or just laying out on one of the lawn chairs and catching a tan. The lake is perfect for boating, water sking, tubing wakeboarding and if you don't care for that stuff as much as we do there is also some good spots on the "3 mile long lake" to do some good fishing. The camp is also only .3 miles away from the start of one of the ATV trails that you can ride all day long and never have to do the same trail twice. The inside of the camp has two bed room both with queen size beds and two twin beds located in the living area. There is no cabel tv at the camp but they do provide a tv with both a vcr and a dvd player "in case you have little ones" for the days it rains. If you are like us though you will spend that time on the screened in porch playing either a UNO card game or a board game. If your looking for a great summer vacation and a Nice place to spend it at then look no farther this place is it. On a side note the owners Jim and Sue are two of the nicest people I have meet. Any thing they can do to help or make your stay more comfortable they will do. I go to Maine every year and I will stay at this camp until they no longer renting.

Great Spot!

Enjoyed the lake, heard and saw the loons and the hummingbirds surely know where the food is at this camp, loved watching them zoom around. The stone fireplace was a great place to sit around and also roast the marshmallows. The kids enjoyed swimming out to the float, and we made use of the dock. The camps 2 bedrooms plus the beds in the living room was a good setup. We were there to enjoy the lake not watch TV, we had no use for a living room. The screened in porch is ideal for card playing, reading or just watching the waves of the lake. I would recommend this camp to friends and relatives and would definately enjoy another visit back at this camp.

Owners are great and so helpful with info. Would definitely stay again -
