vacation rental description
We are situated at the top of the mountain and we offer 300 acres of
picturesque pastures and mountains. We offer a beautiful 4 bedroom
Vermont vacation rental with a master suite bath w/Jacuzzi on the 1st
floor and 3 additional bedrooms. Each shares a full bath on the 2nd
floor.
There is a 4 stall barn complete with rubber matting on the floors of
each stall, running water, electricity, and several acres of secured
horse paddock. You and your horses will be in heaven.
Consisting of a small herd varied beef cattle and oxen and a well
maintained sugar grove where we tap out 6000+ trees or 12 miles of
tubing during the Spring sugar season and we are 2nd largest
provider of Maple Sap to the VT Sugar Growers Association High Meadow
Farm is therefore a working farm. Maple syrup is available upon
request with our own private label not offered in stores.
Come and enjoy everything the Green Mountains has to offer - mountain
bike the trails of Okemo, Killington or take a relaxing hike, within
the network of trails within our property. Our property
shares its borders with Calvin Coolidge State Forest which is a 7
(seven) mile square parcel. Or enjoy walking the 1st stage coach
road in the state of Vermont and explore the many historic sites
and its past history. We are situated in the heart of the Green
Mountain Horse Association and less than 5 miles from their parade
grounds.
Spend the day in Woodstock, swim within our spacious spring fed pond
or go tubing down the White River. Take advantage of all the
recreational activities Vermont has to offer and relax at "High
Meadow Farm"

The farm is located close to 5 major resorts--Ascutney Mountain,
Okemo Mountain, Stratton, Magic Mountain, Bromley, Killington/Pico (Alpine Slide) & Stowe. If you prefer cross country skiing or snowshoeing, you
don't even have to get into your car. Just out the door and head for
the vast network of trails.
You're just 10 miles from one of Vermont's most picturesque village
situated right on the Ottauquechee River. Activities galore Fly
fishing, tubing, hiking, horseback riding, mountain
biking and much more. Shopping at the your choice of two famous
stores Gillingham's in Woodstock or The Vermont Country Store in
Weston where you'll find old fashioned provisions and remedies that
you just can't find elsewhere.
If you like theater you'll love the Weston Playhouse productions--a
theatre with Broadway quality plays all summer long. Dining out at
many a fine resturant such as Keepers at the bottom of the
hill or Simon Pierce in Quechee.
Or if you like to sharpen your culinary skills participate in one of
King Arthur's cooking classes within in a short drive from the farm
offered throughout the Summer.
