Casa Papaya is located in the quiet, safe, residential community of
Playa Langosta, just 110 yards through the tropical canopy to the
beach. It's conveniently close to the shopping and dining opportunities in Tamarindo, but far enough away from Tamarindo's crowded streets and beach that you'll appreciate the difference.
Amenities include, once a week maid service, free Internet, a landline telephone, cable tv, and a washer/dryer in the condo.
Casa Papaya was new in 2006, and it still has that new car smell,
thanks to a firm "No Smoking" policy.
Because we live in Casa Papaya six months of the year, the condo is as
well equipped and maintained as our home in the U.S. Absolutely
nothing is lacking, right down to a sewing repair kit!
Because Casa Papaya is just 110 yards from the beach, the surf is
loudly audible 24/7. Because our neighborhood is mainly ocean-front
homes and a few luxury condominiums, we are sparsely populated and our
beach is often literally deserted. The sand is immaculate, and any
debris that might come in on the tide is picked up daily by Costa
Rican boys hired by our neighborhood association to keep the beach
spotless.
Casa Papaya's main patio opens directly onto the pool, which is just
15’ away. Enjoy shade, sun, or water, all within 15'.
Everything in the condo is top quality: Pella doors and windows, Grohe
plumbing fixtures, granite countertops, teak ceilings, stonework
arches in the baths, Italian tile, stainless steel appliances, flat
cooktop, pebble-glass cabinets, and on and on...
The kitchen has every appliance you'd expect, as well as a three-stage
water purification system, a garbage disposal, and a large Jenn-Air
barbecue just outside. In addition to the usual countertop appliances,
you'll find a fruit dehydrator, a citrus juicer, a Cuisinart Griddler,
a waffle iron, and an electric knife sharpener... The knives are kept
razor sharp. We keep Casa Papaya just about perfect. Expect it.
The baths are exceptionally well lit and ventilated, with plenty of
his-and-her drawers and storage. The decor and furnishings are high
quality throughout. The dining area seats six at a beautiful, hardwood
table imported from Indonesia. The bedrooms have very comfortable beds
and plentiful storage for clothing. The guest bedroom opens onto its
own private garden.
Throughout the condo, eight ceiling fans and your own thermostat keep
you as cool as you wish. Hot water is reliable and abundant.
24-hour security and a walled and gated compound give you peace of
mind. A guests’ safe is installed for your valuables.
The rooftop garden patio offers stunning views of the ocean and the
beaches, for miles in all directions. It offers both shade and sun,
for reading, resting, or sunbathing, and is one of the finest places
in the area for watching sunsets.
