The PenneyStead Vacation House - An Ocean View Retreat in Trinity Bay

The PenneyStead Vacation House is a completely refurbished 1930's
Saltbox home with an incredible
ocean view! It is located in the tranquil centuries old fishing
outport of English Harbour in
Trinity Bight - just 10-15 minutes from Historic Trinity and 30-40
minutes from Bonavista.
Our central location makes the perfect base to explore the entire
Bonavista Peninsula & Trinity Bay
region. Take day trips to Terra Nova National Park or Bonavista Bay.
Watch whales frolic close to
shore from our patio deck during the Capelin Roll in June & July!
We're also located on Iceberg
Alley where numerous bergs, majestic & unique, frequent our coastline
in spring & early summer.
There's hiking, biking and berry picking in late summer & fall right
on our doorstep too - trek to
the resettled community of Green Bay or hike the cliffs of the "Horse
Chops" with an incredible
ocean backdrop.
If you like to travel later in the season, you'll be glad to know that
we have a beautiful autumn!
The temperatures remain quite nice with clear skies through much of
September & October and many
attractions stay open until mid October in the Trinity Bight area.
Don't forget your camera - or you'll miss the perfect shot of that
staggering iceberg, the breaching
pod of humpbacks, or the perching bald eagle. After an exciting day of
outdoor exploring - make the
short drive to Trinity for a meal of fresh seafood and a evening of
award winning theatre. You'll
bring home memories that will keep you yearning to come back again &
again!
