Peaceful Cove Cottage in Kaimu Bay

On the southeast shore near Kaimu Bay and the newly formed
Kalapana Black Sand beach life slows to a tranquil pace far
from crowds and busy side walks.

Peaceful Cove Cottage is an all cedar home located on nearly 3
acres of oceanfront property with complete privacy and provides
a unique experience of old Hawaii. The cottage is nestled in a
lush tropical garden with no neighbors in sight. You will be
drawn to the sound of gentle ocean waves inviting you to
meander along your own nature trail through a pristine wooded
area rich in native flora. A minute's walk brings you to the
beautiful ocean and peaceful cove. Blue skies, spectacular
sunrises and sunsets, sparkling water and a fascinating
coastline lie before you. Walk easily for miles right along the
shore on an old smooth lava flow. It's even possible, from a
safe distance, to witness the extraordinary site of the new
eruption making it's way down the cliff or flowing into the
ocean. It is truly a sight to behold.

A fully equipped kitchen with all the conveniences of home in a
relaxed, rustic environment.
All linens and beach towels provided.
One queen bed with private lanai, 2 twin beds and
a futon couch to comfortably accommadate 5- 6 guests.

Two covered lanai (porch) for dining and relaxing.
Complete laundry area with washer/ dryer and clothesline for
that fresh breeze dried feel.
Telephone and answering machine as well as cell phone
reception.
Satellite TV, DVD player, dial up internet or Hot Spot wireless on your own laptop, books and games, or simply turn it all off and recline in comfortable chairs.
A Sunny yard and garden provide beautiful flowers, fruit trees,
tiny fish in ponds, birds to watch and feed and a nature trail to the ocean.

This is a rural natural environment.
The coastline offers rugged adventure and is mostly rocky but walking is managable on smooth lava.
Exploring recent lava flows and hidden black sand beaches is a
favorite past time.
Beach combing/shelling, hiking and walking in immediate area.
Nearby you'll find swimming, snokeling, surfing, diving and
fishing.
Try a soak in a thermal warm pond or float in crystal clear
tide pools.
The exciting chance to observe an ongoing volcanic eruption (at
a safe distance).
Or simply to rest and watch the waves crash
over the rocks in air of the cleanest quality.

Also, nearby is a village cafe and small convenience store open 7am-9pm.
Or travel by car 10 miles to the quaint town of Pahoa for an
excellent farmer's market/flea market. Also library, shops,
gifts, restaurants, clubs, theater, and groceries.
Futher on to Hilo for shopping, golf, museums, zoo, beaches,
kayaking, water falls, botanical garderns and more.

$95/ night, $590/ week, 3 night min. plus 11.25% state
transient accomadation tax. $20. each additional guest per night. $10 per child per night.
