variety of restaurants, shopping, parks and museums. Public Transportation available 24hours a day/
7 days a wk. includes the Bus Lines which are at your doorstep (B65 & B43), and trains which are a

It was our very first time in NYC and this apartment was a good choice to stay for our one-week sightseeing trip.
Karen and David are excellent hosts, lovely and helpful! They took time to tell us all about the places we´ve planned to visit and also to give us lots of information about the interesting and authentic neighbourhood.
The apartment is very spacious with huge bedrooms, living room, a full sized kitchen and a shower bath, everything in good condition and very clean. And there´s a garden place with a grill on the backside. In the evening it is calm and comfortable to relax from the busy day in Manhattan.
The people in the neighbourhood were absolutely friendly and also very helpful. There are lots of local bars, shops, diners and a supermarket on the halfway from subway station Nostrand Ave (5 or 10 minutes walk to the apartment). There are two subway lines (A/C and 3/4) one on each side with a ten or fifteen walk to the nearest station to get everywhere you want (20 minutes to Downtown Manhattan).
For the car service from/to Newark Airport you have to pay approximately 80 - 90.- $ incl. Toll and Tip. (Ask for the price before you start or order!!!)
We did enjoy our week and recommend that vacation rental for your trip to NYC!

A Taste of Brooklyn from Three Brits

We were three Brits visiting for site-seeing from England.

We didn't really know what to expect and the only hiccup upon our arrival was not getting our heads around the US dialling code, to contact Karen, so our arrival didn't go as smooth as we would have expected but that was through no fault of our excellent hosts, Karen and David, who gave us a very warm welcome.

The apartment was huge and warm and was in no way without space, it fulfilled our needs completely.

Karen looked after us and looked out for our friend Zoe, who was arriving later on in the day from Philadelphia, ensuring we were reunited.

The neighbourhood was interesting, local bars were fun and Karen made sure we were acquainted with the local watering holes, which we took full advantage of.

I would recommend this apartment, simply because it's off the regular tourist trail and it was more of an experience than the first time we came, when we stayed on Manhattan itself.

The local food was tasty and the portions were huge so be careful if you're watching your waistline but, who cares, enjoy!

Thanks again Karen and David for a very enjoyable stay.

Recommended!

The subway stop is only ten mins walk and great bars up the street on Vandebuilt. 5 stars from me.

Nothing is too much trouble for Karen and David and we would personally like to thank them again, they're welcome in England any time.

good choice in Brooklyn !

very good situation to visit Manhattan; near subway station Kingston (red line 3) about 20 minutes to the city. Spacious and appreciate for 5 persons, not more. The owner, Karen and David, are very cheerful ! It's a good place to discover "Big Apple" ! we recommended it !
