We are welcoming reservations for the Spring, Summer and Fall of 2012!
The cottage feels like you are at a cabin up in Maine. It has a rustic feel and it is on a quiet lake that time seems to have forgot. It is literally right on the water as you can see in the pictures.
The waterfront cottage has 2 bedrooms with queen beds. It has a large living room with an old stone fireplace and a wood stove with an open front. The extra large screened in porch is a favorite place for meals overlooking the water. We have kept the rustic feel of the cottage with a updated kitchen which comes equipped with dishes and appliances. Just bring your food to have your meals inside or on the screen porch. There is a BBQ grill and two outdoor fire pits which also overlook the water.
FUN ON THE WATER: Two kayaks, two canoes, a paddle board, and one or two "Huck Finn" rafts will be available to explore the lake. Bring a fishing pole. There is a bait shop a short paddle away. Bring a net for kids to catch little fish and turtles as well. See if you can fish as well as our neighboring great blue heron.
NEARBY ATTRACTIONS: Most people enjoy relaxing, recreating, and enjoying nature right at the lake, yet you are right in the middle of tourist central. The ocean shore and Bluff Point state park are just 15 minutes away, Rhode Island beaches just 25 minutes, hiking trails are close, Mystic is a favorite, for dining and entertainment, and Foxwoods.
FOXWOODS: You would never know it when you're at the lake, but Foxwoods casino is a 5 minute drive through the woods.
DRIVING DISTANCES: 5 minutes to Foxwoods, 10 min to Mystic, 25 min to New London, 20 min to Mohegan Sun, 25 min to Rhode Island's beautiful beaches.
